I get1.5 cash back on mine and have been doing pretty well with that. I paid it off last month and paid off the tires I charged yesterday. My goal is to keep it paid off and not carry a balance. I needed the money I was paying monthly on it to help cover the apartment for my youngest when she goes back to college in August. The rent ended up being higher than we wanted but didn’t have a lot of choice after her roommate backed out on her.

Good morning. I woke this morning and had a text from my credit card company that someone tried to charge$267 overnight. My wife just used it to order something from Walmart a week or so ago. Funny coincidence that someone else had posted that theirs got compromised and was pretty sure it was from a Walmart transaction. This is a real pita. I have a few of my bills paid by that card so will have to update all of them.
That was me and I know it was walmart. I didn't use my card anywhere else for days. It is a pita, I have to change payment for several bills, also.

I don't because I want the cash back and I don't like pp. I have had issues with them and it is harder to resolve than with my cc.
Just the opposite. I love PP. I had an issue with a vendor just once and pp issued me a credit after a short investigation.

That's great, Fran. Unfortunately, didn't work that way for me. They want me to try again to resolve it with the vendor and they want copies of all the emails, yada yada. I don't have time for all that rigamarole. My bank was great and resolved it immediately with few questions. They also gave me the option to block all future transactions from the site which I did since I have never nor will I ever shop at Etsy.

Yeah I am not the biggest fan of paypal. I used to use it because it was convenient. I don't ever memorize my debit card stuff. ALTHOUGH I could tape the numbers up ON my computer, so I did not have to get up to purchase but that just strikes me as such a HORRIBLE idea in SO many ways. I mean, if I am not willing to GET UP and get my card, I clearly do not NEED this item. It has saved me from many an impulse purchase and not just vaping.

I should really make Amazon um, remove my debit information but I really DO tend to use that only for stuff I need but cannot get around here, and I AGONIZE sometimes. Like, I needed more tens unit pads and I couldn't decide between the 18 or 19 dollar set of 48 of them which really.... LOL. It was rough. I think in the end I just closed my eyes and clicked.

I love my 2 CC - 1 is a Cash Rewards card for gas purchases only. The other is an Airlines VISA Signature Card that anything and everything else goes on. Both are always paid off monthly, so they make no interest off of me. VISA Signature Card has saved me a ton of money since I got it in 2009! The most I've had to pay for airfare since then, (on trips to Alaska every 2-3 summers for 17-21 days)...has been some of the airline miles earned using the card + $14.76 for taxes and take off/landing fees! That's flying Orlando to Seattle, then a connecting flight to Alaska, a flight or 2 within Alaska, then back to Seattle and on to Orlando. Average $ saved on airfare has been $1,400 per trip.

Loud fireworks lasted until 12:30 am, then I went to bed.
I had a rough night for sure... too loud (more than usual this year) couldn't sleep and basically drank myself to sleep (did not feel well this morning) Might have to hear more tonight (goes on all week-end here)

Me too (except for the drinking). I live just outside the city limits so fireworks are allowed. It starts about 2 weeks before the 4th and about a week after. My dog is on anti anxiety meds.

I hope the meds work for your pup.

This is the first year our dog hasn’t totally freaked out. I put on a movie and turned up the surround sound to help hide the booming. I sat on the floor with her and we shared a bowl of popcorn.

Poor dogs and fireworks. They started them off the home growns early this year, and the dog is a fan of neither the sounds nor the sights. He almost did not poop or pee for like 9 hours straight.

We don't give the dog anti anxiety meds. I'm sorry but he has TOO MANY neuroses. He can get real happy, but he can also get real anxious. If we started it, we would develop a bad habit. Like, we let him in for rain and MOST of the fireworks but dude, dog, no sorry you can't live under the couch.

He usually copes. He really though we would be spending a ridiculous amount on doggy klonopin and if one of us ever forgot a dose, he'd go into seizures.

I'm not necessarily like against doggy dosing, but I am against dosing THAT one.

I tried the loud movie and TV thing. It helped a bit. I also set up two white noise machines to help at night. And mini-pretzels seem to make her forget about the noise for a moment.

I'm not quite sure which question you are asking, if you mean why should the check come at a more godly hour like 9:30 or 10 am, that would be my utter and entire lack of desire to like, climb in the car and drive to Tucson, start cleaning it, and then becoming the husband's seeing eye dog while he works on the steps.

The husband wants the check to come ASAP because it is "the final" check and the remainder of the contractor's "final" payment and they like to get paid. I think he thinks it is making it more likely the contractor will do the front steps. I don't personally think it will make any difference at all, the contractor has lots of stuff to do at the moment and doing them the way the husband is going to do it, it's really cheap. I mean, he'd spend more in labor than he would in profit probably. Etc.

Nevertheless though, we will leave when the check arrives, and I imagine the husband will be calling the mortgage company to say WHERE IS IT the minute he can. He paid for FedEx but like, that doesn't matter much if it takes the mortgage company 3 days to cut the check. THEY are not in any kind of hurry, believe me. ESPECIALLY when the mortgage inspector has come out and said, "Yes, our investment has been protected and is legal." It is after that inspection they release the final third of the funds.

I really, really, really HATE that I know this stuff. I also REALLY REALLY will NEVER be underinsured AGAIN. Get a new heat/cooling system-- BOOM, call to the insurance company-- we added THIS, charge us. Get a new roof 4 K-- BOOM call the insurance company, ADD THIS charge us.

I mean this was not ALL State Farm's fault exactly. A lot of the work the husband did in the home was so intricate and unreproducible we should have gotten an adjuster out to REVALUE the house, like every 4 months. You just don't like THINK like that usually, honestly. Well, *I* did not but I darn sure will NOW. LOL.

Although I think if I can get the hobbit into his correct habitat, he may stop destroying my homes, here is hoping.
