Do you mean Kanger subtanks... I have a Subtank mini and love it (long story... a company was supposed to send me 2 RTAs and sent me a bunch of coils for Kanger Subtank, so I got one... private sale and also it comes with a RBA) I finally got my RTAs (Lemo2) and they said "just keep the coils" so I am really enjoying those... 0.5 ohm and I get to try the RBA too... I love happy endings) Got three 5-packs of coils for free :) )
I assumed everyone here would know a subtank is Kanger. Sorry.

Did they give her the option of driving school? My son just did it for his first ever ticket. No ticket on his record now. It was supposed to be a 4 hour class on a Saturday but they let them go after a couple of hours.

Not that I can tell. They said she was doing 72 in a 50. She said she was doing 60 but the speed limit sign she saw said 60. It was in a construction zone but he didn’t put that on the ticket like he was doing her a favor.

If the cop used radar that won’t work.

I had a cop stop me once in South Carolina and try to say I was doing 80. I told him no I wasn’t and was going 65 in a 60. He was fishing trying to get me to tell him I was going really fast. He ended up letting me go without a ticket. If she goes to court it won’t cost any extra. In Kansas, I guess you have to pay the docket fee either way and they put $130 for that and another $120 for the ticket.

Could be he did do her a favor. In these parts speed limits in construction zones are really low.

That's certainly not unheard of, I've had it happen to me also and I did go to court.

How did you do? I read that if the officer doesn’t show up then you get off.

We just drove to Wichita last Saturday on the turnpike and every construction zone we went through was either 60 or 65. The normal speed limit in it is 75.

    It's 20 - 40 here and stiff fines also.

I find it kind of odd that I have never had a speeding ticket. Not only that, but I have never even been pulled over for speeding. And I don't consider myself a slow driver either.

If the cop used radar that won’t work.

Fight every speeding ticket even if you have to lie like a snake! In some states, the cop won't show up and then you don't have to say anything but your name and it is dismissed.

Also, with the radar thing, have your daughter listen carefully. Sometimes the cop forgets to note when he calibrated the radar and if that happens, your daughter will automatically get off.

Also, it can be valuable to come up with a "impossible to get out of thing" for the first couple court dates, (like an exam or whatever) because it decreases the likelihood the cop will show up.

Also, if she has never had a speeding ticket in the future, (if this one is wiped out) then get her to sweetly discuss with the cop how she has NEVER had a speeding ticket and to PLEASE give her a warning.

Man, I hate speeding tickets. This one cop caught me going over 20 miles over the speed limit then got all wack because of my lithium tremor (see, why I don't want to stop the valium?) and he did not find my argument "You say I was going 20 miles over the speed limit and I invite you to note I was in full control of the vehicle and pulled over ever so nicely to let you give me a ticket that should be good enough.": Nope. I had no idea JUST how many field sobriety tests there are you can fail I mean "Tilt your head back and tell me when two minutes have passed?" COME ON. I lost count after I think "7."

I don't really believe in speeding tickets. DUIs? Sure. But unless you are super accident prone at high speeds (I'm not) they should just leave you ALONE if you ask me .

    Condolences.

In these parts high rates of speed cause way too many accidents and deaths.

I don't speed in residential areas or even sometimes at all. Parts of AZ are like 75 miles an hour an I actually think (sometimes) that is too high cuz you gotta go like 85 to go with the flow of traffic.

This just happened to be a particularly under speed designated area. EVERYONE speeds there.

In fact (I fought the ticket) I did EVERYONE a favor because the cop accidentally admitted to the judge he lurked there often and that's profiling which is not kosher in AZ for some reason. He got in trouble. I wanted to feel sorry for him but I did not feel sorry for him ONE bit.

We live in and are surrounded by speed trap towns. I tried to warn my son over and over but he has learned his lesson. Hopefully. Around here 35 mph is the norm on our country roads...and to go "long" distances in this small town it's brutal to go that slow. But the po-po are just sitting there waiting on you. The older I get the slower I drive. I got nowhere to go fast. Now when I was young?...I got multiple tickets cause I had places to go, people to see, and a short time to get there. :)

How did your son get to go to traffic court instead of paying the ticket? I'm wondering if we should find a traffic lawyer to try to get the charge moved to a non moving violation.
