Good morning mixers. I decided to take a vacation day Friday. There’s some landscaping clean up we’ve been meaning to do that I’m going to get done. Also, I’ve got some vacation days to use up so a four day week sounded good.

I’m still testing the custard mixes from the contest. Pretty sure I’m going to vote for the first one. The second has a little bit of a harshness to it and doesn’t taste as much like a custard.

Good for you. 4 day weeks are great To my way of thinking a custard mix should be smooth .

I'm up extra early this morning. Not a lot in the way of plans today, except for voting. It's a special state Senate election, 6 people running, 1 Dem and 5 Rep. The two that are campaigning the most are a Representative who happens to live in my little hometown and goes to my church and that woman from Dallas who was arrested for opening her beauty salon during shutdown. Both are Republicans. I see a runoff in the future between the two of them.

sadly I was let down by almost all of my purchases I made pre sept 9th, though the ipv v3 mini was a surprise how much I actually like it (just wish it was an actual 510 and not stuck using their disposable atties)....so well I went ahead and got the pulse dual and topside dual, they were on sale at sourcemore

@hittman I mixed some of Nick's doughnut base I mentioned sometime last week. It still needs a bit of a steep, but I like to test new mixes after 3 days. It's pretty good. It's kind of a cake style doughnut right now, I'll let you know how it is about a 2 week steep.

Please do. I haven't mixed anything new in a couple weeks. Just remixing favorites. I'm pretty sure I took a screenshot of that donut base. I'll have to take a closer look and make sure I have everything.
