The Cajun restaurant I go to has had it on their menu for years. There were a couple of times that I almost ordered it out of curiosity. You do describe it in a way that makes it sound better.
Done right, it’s fantastic. Done “wrong”, it’s a mushy mess. If the chef is actually from down here and grew up eating it , I’d say give it a try. Otherwise, give it a pass.
I’ve had some awful versions of Cajun or creole food at really good restaurants in cities far from here. For a while it was a huge food fad back when Paul Prudhomme and his blackened fish hit the scene. It’s kind of like bbq... get it in KC or Memphis and you’ll melt with joy. But don’t order it down here, it’s just a shadow of its gloriousness. Fortunately, we have a great bbq hole in the wall place by the house. The owner is a KC native/winner of a lot of bbq comps. I’m just glad he married a local girl and came here

The place I go to is owned by a family that moved from the New Orleans area. Everything they make there is great. It will be the first place I visit once all the virus stuff is over with.

    Somewhere between here and there
That's where I'm lucky living in KC. My work is just minutes away from Gates, Arthur Bryants, Jack Stack, and a couple other good BBQ places. Every once in a while my boss will get platters from Gates for everyone at work.

On a total side note... was going to try WF sesame candy and backed off (going to be brave and try that too... I love sesame)

Then you should try INW Sesame, but make sure you get plain sesame, not candy. The candy is sweet and nasty. Plain sesame is a nice vape--tastes like lightly toasted white sesame seeds. Pleasantly nutty. Also nice in bakery mixes. If you want sesame candy, just add a touch of FA Honey.

Reconsider the Kroma_Z (I could write a whole paragraph but let's just say I love mine)... and it uses Z coils ;)

An update. I'm getting a Kroma Z and the 510 adapter. After all. Watched some videos last night. Looks really nice.

With you folks talking about your vape stash number, I thought I would take a look. I forgot that I made a list of my gear a couple of months back. Adding in what I have bought since, I have about 20-25 mods, 25-30 RTAs, 4 or 5 Zlides/Zeniths and about 30 boxes of coils. Not nearly as much as many of you folks, but I'm comfortable with that amount at the moment.

You have 25-30 RTAs??? How did that happen? When we first met, you had none, iirc. ;) Which ones are your favorites?

I'm seriously impressed. Off to count my RTAs...

You’re ever down here, I’ll make you some that’ll thrill your tastebuds ;). Most every restaurant here has it on the menu, even the super chichi ones. It can be made with or without fruit. Raisin, banana, chocolate, pecan, or peach are common versions. (Obvs not all together lol). It’s similar to french toast in texture, but slightly moister. Top it with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream, drizzle some hot bourbon sauce... boom! Heaven
A good bread pudding is a thing of beauty.
