I am having much more trouble than usual finding solo % for my new flavors (only found 2 out of 10) If anyone has suggestions I would really appreciate it I will be doing SFTs for all of them. Here's the list:
    $1.49
    1 × Marshmallow-FW
    $1.49
    1 × Black Licorice-FW
    $1.49
    1 × Salted Caramel-FW 5
    $1.99
    1 × Sesame Candy-SC-WF
    $1.99
    1 × Mascarpone Cheese-SC-WF
    $1.99
    1 × Boysenberry-Raspberry-SC-WF
    $2.99
    1 × Lemon Juicy-JF 3
    $1.79
    1 × Madagascar Vanilla-SSA
    $1.79
    1 × Raspberry Syrup-SSA

    1 × Ice Cream-SSA
I would do 1% mascarpone, 1% Raspberry Syrup, maybe 1 1/2 on the ice cream and 2% Boysenberry/Raspberry

For single flavor... I would do 1% on the salted caramel and 2-3% Madagascar.

Bear in mind that most of those flavors will do best with a decent steep.

Checked ELR single flavor use for ones I don't have...

FW Marshmallow - the majority of folks used it anywhere from 2% - 4%. Average was 4.3%. I would start at 1.5-2%.

FW Black Licorice - Lolz, people were all over the place with this one. From 1% - 20%. ( 20% o_O ). Average was 9.4%. I would start it at 1-2%.

WF Sesame Candy - most used it between 1.5% - 3%. Average was 2.6%. I would start at 1-2%.

JF Lemon Juicy - average was 2.4%. I would start it at 1-1.5%.

I've been out of mixing for nearly a decade but still remember the basics.

I'm trying to make a more realistic, subtle RY4 from Black Note's NET liquids. Having just discovered the flavorings available at heartlandvapes.com
and Hempnetix.com, I'm wondering if anyone here can recommend any of their caramels.
I don't know what caramels they have. Here are the caramels I use most.

FA Caramel - it's a European style caramel, not as sweet compared to others
INW Caramel - a Euro darker caramel, strong
MF Caramel - most like American caramels (not dark)
    FW Caramel Candy
    FW Salted Caramel
    FLV Caramel

There are other good caramels but those are mixed with other flavors.

Also worth noting, if you are after a true caramel flavor you will need a butterscotch to pair it with. Example: FA Caramel 2% + FA Butterscotch 1% - 1.5% will deliver a fine caramel flavor. The butterscotch makes the caramel pop. Per HIC's notes - "FA Caramel adds rich caramel to tobaccos without transforming the mix into candy. Add FA Butterscotch for bolder, sweeter caramel."

Appreciate this post. I've been trying out FA caramel recently in a not very successful attempt to copy a one-shot I like. Bolder sweeter caramel sounds like just the ticket. I'll give butterscotch a try. Strange really, I dislike both caramel and butterscotch in real life but I love caramel in a vape.

Using caramel to boost a butterscotch forward profile also works well. FA Butterscotch 2% and FA Caramel 1% - 1.5%. Both of those are European style flavors in that they are darker tasting versus the American ones. Adding a little FA Walnut, 0.25% - 0.5%, will produce a buttery effect in the caramel/butterscotch as they steep.

Another thought. You might not be able to get to the flavor of the one-shot you're using with only two flavors. If your one-shot has a creamy note then consider adding FW Butterscotch Ripple at 3-3.5%. It's pretty weak on the butterscotch. I use it in a couple of my recipes along with the FA caramel and butterscotch. When I use the b-scotch ripple with the two FA flavors, magic happens, they work really well together. Copying your one-shot might also require another caramel flavor. FW Caramel Candy at 1% would be a good option. I also use that with the others mentioned.

Do you keep notes on all this stuff? Or is this just all in your head? You know a lot.

    Yeah, that made me sigh/chuckle.
I had this gastrointestinal issue and was prescribed a big pharma drug, which the gastroenterologist made sure to tell me that I'd be on for the rest of my life.
Looking at the possible side effects of the pill, it was strange that the symptoms I had were exactly the same as the possible side effects.
So, no rocket scientist that I'll claim to be, but how will I know if I'm having a relapse or if I'm reacting to the drug? Screw that.
Met with a naturopathic physician, got off the pills, got on some natural remedies, and all is well.

Good Morning Mixers. Looks like Fran's "Rabbit Hole" thread just keeps rolling right along.
    Great work, Fran.

Just stopping by to inform a few friends I have found a successful chocolate tobacco extraction - Russ' Fudge Cake. Kinda like a Hershey's Dark Chocolate with Almonds flavor.
More testing to come, but I will be In The Alley in a month or so....
You never cease to amaze with your extractions!

Both. I write detailed notes on flavors, mixes and all adjustments and tweaks.

I worked on my butterscotch and caramel mixes for well over a year and a half. They still get tweaked here and there when I get a wild brain-fart.

    You know a lot.
No, no, no, not me. Honestly, I really do not know that much compared to some folks here and elsewhere.

New car battery installed. We also picked up A/C filters and super glue to glue our mailbox number corners down. Fast food burgers too. Nothing I had planned to do but necessary. Batteries ain’t cheap that’s for sure.
I'm thinking this through, but I can't recall anything that's cheap anymore.

Oh man, I'm exhausted and sore! I've already had one brief nap after my ordeal and still... The lines seemed to never end, and we were constantly running low on one thing or another and having to make more on the spot. Remind me next year not to sign up for a double shift. I mean if you are too tired to open vape mail, then you are really tired.

I’d check out Bull city flavors. Much better selection.
