Good morning random folks :)Have you any plans today?
I will try to put a system in everything that came from NomNomz today.
Go through the recipes, see what I have flavor for.
Then there is a package from Chefs, some of it I have, but I think I ordered some of it in 10ml, better to start with small bottles instead of opening a 100ml bottle.

Must also carry everything down in the cool basement today.
There is a lot of work for a new mixer.

    Sounds like you have your work cut out for you today. I packed up several review samples the other day and started a new box. Sometimes I wonder if I will ever use half this stuff. I may start going through and putting some of it on the classifieds at some point. Only problem is that I used the factory coils that came with the kits for the reviews so whoever bought them would have to get their own coils.

    I’m sure most stuff would still sell fine without coils

    I used FLV and WF Blackberries in my custard and the mix is not sweet. However it’s not real custardy either.

    How long did you steep it? What custard did you use?

    Yeah mine is very weak, I upped %'s but not holding out much hope for this mix. There are better recipes out there.

    You too? I'm glad I'm not the only one. If you have great ice cream recipes please let me know. I have just about every ice cream flavor made...:facepalm: :laugh: I normally figure most recipes are too weak for my taste buds and I always increase percentages (at least 10% and above) but the two I made are just meh.

    Not fun hearing your big boss say how much he goofed off during the stay at home work. As I worked 2+ jobs and never goofed off. :blink: I wish I could find me a decent paying job somewhere else possibly doing something totally different that would supplement retirement. I'd be gone so fast!

    Did you not like the SSA ones or were they too weak?

    I know this is true for me. I can barely pick up the basics of a flavor. Never a nuance, or a 'this and that on the inhale" but "this is that on the exhale"
    I'm the same. My favorites hold their position not because I love them but because I can kind of taste them. If I can identify the general flavor, that's a bonus. It's for this reason that grapefruit, orange, mango, mint, dark berries, and cinnamon recur so often in my mixes. I'll continue trying new recipes and hoping they hit the spot, but so far 'most everything is pretty blah. Straight dessert recipes without a fruit component all taste more or less the same to me: like nothing much.
