Am I the only one here who doesn't mind buying gear from U.S. stores?

The shipping restrictions were always to be expected in my mind, and my state only charges an excise tax on e-liquid, which I don't buy, so maybe I'm less affected than others but it's not bothering me to continue business with what few U.S. retailers we have left.

it's keeping them in business a while longer anyway.
I don't like that stores, online and local, are now required to collect, and store, your personal information as part of the PACT Act.

Per the details in the PACT Act they are currently required to report your info plus all info on items you purchase to the ATF and your state Attorney General. Too risky IMHO. Goobermint doesn't need to know what I buy.

That info is not being collected and shared with our lovely goobermint by foreign online stores. I refuse to participate in any of that kind of nonsense. For me, the cost of doing business with USA vape places is no longer worth the risk.

Goobermint took a step too far with PACT Act.

ETA: When I buy a wash machine, a gallon of milk or a screwdriver that data does not get reported to guv. Or the freakin' ATF. I mean, dang, I can go buy a gun and see less of a hassle than with vaping gear.

I thought long and hard on if I should buy from U.S. vape stores. I'm considering it. As long as the vape store collects my state taxes I'm good with it. If they want to know which hand I use to wipe my ...I suppose they can find out. :) I only seen a few places that take out State tax. I don't have a problem with WI tax. I never bought from a Chinese vape retailer.

Did you get your leaves done? And do you now have terrible scissor cramp?

Day one of VBS is over and no one died. Day two might be different. The main craft leader will be out and I'm in charge. We might have a kid or two fly out the window, which is rather difficult since we are in the basement.

I ended up not having to do all of those leaves. I ran out of paper and the leader didn't get me the replacement, so she had to do it. I did about. 800 leaves. No scissor hand cramp from that, but today using kid scissors to help cut fabric for stadium blanket is a different story. 3rd and 4th graders should know how to use scissors, you would think.

My supply of new mixes is getting down. I have one recipe finished and need a couple or more to add to that. Hoping to mix at least something tomorrow. I axed a mix today for too much flavor, need to be more careful about that. You can always add if needed.

The PACT act stopped my purchases in the US as of March. Many vendors won't ship to MA anyway because of the ban on non-tobacco flavor products.

Then there's taxes, which vendors could report. This is what CASAA shows for MA:
    • Smoke-free tobacco products are subject to a state excise tax of 40% of the wholesale price.
    • Vapor products have a state excise tax of 75% the wholesale cost. Additionally, consumers in possession of vapor products are required to produce evidence that the tax was paid on the products or face a fine of $5,000 for the first offense, $25,000 for additional offenses along with immediate seizure of the products.
    OUCH.

With the strong anti-vaping stance of the governor and attorney general (not to mention our senators), I'm not going to open that door. I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to go after people at some point.

You see why I'm worried for any Italians in England right now.
    I was right to worry:

On top of that, the poor fellows who missed during the shootout were showered with racist poison online. And the wreckage of London (and probably other places), which began even before the match started and just got worse, is sickening.

Maybe the game is beautiful, but a lot of the fans sure aren't.

And all that over a stupid game. It's just a game. Your team wins cool. They don't win cool. Acting out against any other is so not cool.

For as long as humanity has been around, I sincerely expected much better and waaaaaaay further advancement. Instead, humanity seems to regress by the day. Tribalism has made a comeback, at all levels.

Sad but I have to agree.
