Has anyone heard from @Redbird11 ? Last year he shared that he was living in a broke down Volkswagen Van next to a stream. I know it's been cold in Missouri and just wanted to make sure he had enough firewood.
It's been a few cold days, but my broken down Volkswagen Van has been warm enough. I have a space heater in the van.

No, we joked a lot about it last year, sorry if I worried you. Hopefully he's away on business in St. Louis or something, sitting in a hotel room eating take out sushi right now.

What do you mean? I think his choice to rough it is admirable, especially when I know he has prepared for the winter by collecting plenty of pecans. You have obviously never heard of Redbird's famous pecan crusted wild caught trout. You can find his place in all the airbnb brochures. There's a 4 year waiting list even though he stays in it with you.

Mornin' Fran, everyone. It's cold outside but oh so beautiful. I woke up a little bummed looking out the window. That job offer my wife got in Seattle is looking like it might come to fruition. I really love where we live right now though.

I think I am going to cook some chili today.

Right now I'm sorting out what came from Mod Maker UK.
It starts to help, the next order is from a Norwegian store, small screws & various small tactile switches.
From what I have bought so far, on 510 connections, nothing beat Steel Labs, they are really very over engineered, but the quality is excellent.

I've always thought it would be cool to live in the Washington state or Oregon part of the country. But I can understand becoming attached to a community and not wanting to leave.

Not nice? I think my van is very nice. It's cozy.

I'm sure, in my younger hippy days, I also lived in a Van every so often . . . However that's not what. @Skeebo inferred in his post - to me it read as you were actually homeless and having a very difficult time financially . . . . And - NOT by choice . . . . So now I know I will not ever believe either of you are in trouble again and might NEED assistance. . . "Little Boys Crying Wolf" . . . Just Sayin ' . . .

Most beautiful place is western WA. If you can stand daily rain, I think you would love it there. I lived near Seattle for over 40 years and will probably return in a couple of years. I am not wild about the traffic though.

If you end up there, be sure to go on a whale watching tour through the San Juans, Seafair on Lake WA and eat at Camp Union Restaurant in Seabeck.
