Thank you for responding. The batteries I am using happen to be new. I also tried a different battery. That is when I noticed the spring was not as tall as it used to be. This is an old mod from 2013. Either way, I have gotten my money's worth.

You have options for your Sigelei Legend!
Option 1) Have a good close look at the spring. Make sure the spring is not damaged. It's height brand new will look like the one in this photo.
If your spring is truly compressed you can always "gently" pull on the end of the cap and the top of the spring in order to get it to "default" height (or a touch higher). The task would be easiest if you remove the spring from the cap. That will get your spring back to where you can use the mod.
Option 2) Buy a replacement spring. I sincerely doubt you will be able to buy one from Sigelei at this point as the mod is from 2013ish.
Acxess Spring sells springs. You need a conical spring for the Legend.

Per the following photo, the legend looks to have 5 total coils.
The spring in the Legend will need to be measured as follows.
You should be able to remove the spring from the battery cap in order to get the measurements.
If it was me, and I truly liked the mod, I would try to fix (re-tension) the spring to get the mod running again. Then I would buy a replacement spring.
Good luck!
