Just to help cover all bases, did you check for any wear or damage to the battery wrap?
Thank you for responding. The batteries I am using happen to be new. I also tried a different battery. That is when I noticed the spring was not as tall as it used to be. This is an old mod from 2013. Either way, I have gotten my money's worth.

After the little cigalike starter kit, I went to ego's. The Sigelei Legend was my first big purchase in 2013. It's been a good one! I take full responsibility for messing this one up. Did not screw it together the way I usually do. I went back in my vape stuff and got out an old Sigelei bottom fire that still works. I don't like it but it works.

If you could have anything on the market today (no matter the price) what would you like? Just wondering.

This one has tempted me but doubt I'll spend that much for something I know nothing about.

You have options for your Sigelei Legend!

Option 1) Have a good close look at the spring. Make sure the spring is not damaged. It's height brand new will look like the one in this photo.
    LegendStainless3.jpg

If your spring is truly compressed you can always "gently" pull on the end of the cap and the top of the spring in order to get it to "default" height (or a touch higher). The task would be easiest if you remove the spring from the cap. That will get your spring back to where you can use the mod.

Option 2) Buy a replacement spring. I sincerely doubt you will be able to buy one from Sigelei at this point as the mod is from 2013ish.

Acxess Spring sells springs. You need a conical spring for the Legend.
Stock Conical Tapered Springs Catalogue - Quality Spring, Affordable Prices

Per the following photo, the legend looks to have 5 total coils.
    sigelei legend 2-800x800-0.jpg

The spring in the Legend will need to be measured as follows.
    conical-springs-search-page-how-to-measure-diagram.jpg

You should be able to remove the spring from the battery cap in order to get the measurements.

If it was me, and I truly liked the mod, I would try to fix (re-tension) the spring to get the mod running again. Then I would buy a replacement spring.

    Good luck!

    Somewhere between here and there
Haha, I could go colors for the Rabbits, though there would be a Jr. and a III.

All the og Serpents are stainless, so I would have some figuring to do there.
I did get a bunch of different drip tips so as to tell different mixes apart if I end up running multiples at the same time. Could work with that maybe.

edit: Haha, need one more Solo for days of the week!

Sounds like you have some shopping to do. you could always get colored bands to put on the tanks if you have multiples of the same color.

What would someone (me) do if they compressed the spring in a tube mod? (it got hot and I might have smelt something) I have never had this happen but I think that is the problem. Can you buy replacements from somewhere? It is for a Sigelei Legend. I looked at a YouTube this morning on making your own but not sure that is something I should do. View attachment 974844 Any information or emotional support would be appreciated.

Maybe it is time to get something new and improved. I always buy myself a divorce present in September but I want to do something now. Any suggestions?

I had a couple mechs back in the day where I overheated the springs. I tried stretching them and it worked for a little while but eventually failed. I had to look up that Sigelei mod since I hadn't heard of it. Maybe you could find a spring from a flashlight to replace yours.

Mornin'. Slept 8 hours, maybe my trouble with sleeping is over. We will see but I have definitely been sleeping better.

Loving this TV! Started a new Survival save on No Mans Sky and it plays beautifully.

I think the TV cured your sleeping problem. I'd tell the wife that and see what she says. Just don't tell her while she's drinking milk or some may come out her nose when you tell her.

I know you were asking Fran but she did mention the Thelema Solo DNA100C which I'm sure will be a nice mod. They did make a Quest version of the Thelema solo and it's much less expensive if you wanted to try one out to see if you like the size. Besides being able to use escribe and replay with the dna boards, to me the Quest 2.0 chip in the Quest is just about as good as the dna.

I have a couple old Kanger Kbox 40w mods that have the same kind of spring setup as the Sigelei Legend on the battery cap. I've never had a problem with their springs.

Just looked at a spring from the Kbox. It was easy to pull the spring to re-tension it if needed. Measuring the spring is a breeze.
