Morning, mixers.

Heat continues, so the usual, water early, hide. Several places set new high temp records yesterday, and likely other places will today. We were actually a tad below the "official", but no complaints on that!

They do claim that after today it will start to back off. Slowly. :(

We won the lottery!!! But it was only $2. Enough to buy another ticket. It's fun to dream. We may go back and buy more. Maybe one day Alabama will come out of the dark ages and rip open their conservative britches and allow the lottery. On the drive my son and I talked and decided to do some day trips to get us out of the house. We can't go far because of the cat so no overnights. But we came up with all sorts of things to do and places to see. So it was worth it and it was fun driving up there.

Congrats on the win @*RJ* . Any win is a good win. I don't think I've ever won anything on powerball. When I used to buy scratch tickets I had won 100 once and that was it beside a dollar or two here or there.

I cleaned up another dozen of my old commercial dropper bottles to use for mixing.

Also been generating more random mix ideas. I think I might be a bit addicted to doing that at the moment.

Yesterday I freshened up the two og Serpents in my current rotation. One had a loose o-ring out of the box but seemed to be okay in use. Had some leaking yesterday after filling it and was pretty sure my wicking wasn't to blame. Changed out that o-ring with the spare and it seems like that was probably the culprit.

    Thank you, Fran!
I just have the four I posted from the other day mixed up for now but will most likely do others.
There are usually a few from each batch of ideas that look to be worth mixing up.
I guess it's one way of learning what works and what doesn't.

It will be a learning experience. We all do it differently. I started doing sft which I never really liked doing all that much. I gave up on those awhile back in favor of two flavor mixes, one known and one new.
I’ve done a few three flavor mixes with some success but not much.A bit more luck with 4 flavors but most of my mixes have 5-6.

At one point I was buying so many new flavors at a time that I learned to hate doing SFT. I still to this day don't like doing them. I like two flavor test mixes much better. I can't tell you how much liquid I threw out doing sft.

I have been invited to the maiden voyage of DD’s camper. Dd has never pulled a camper or backed one up so SIL is going also. The young one gets to have a friend go also. I may regret it but I agreed to go.It’s just Friday to Sunday so not long anyway.

The last few days have been busy. I removed the tree limb that came through the aluminum porch roof, and squirrel-proofed the hole and put a temporary patch over the hole, to keep water out. Have an empty garbage can under the hole, in case my patch has any leaks. Emptied all the furniture & stuff off the porch, and moved it to the garage. Got an estimate today (yikes!) and tomorrow, the insurance guy comes. My normal agent said they should approve it quickly and have the money transferred within 24 hours (fingers crossed). Estimator said prob 6 - 8 weeks from the time I say go, to completion, mostly because of the sloth-like speed of the city permit department.

The whole process has been a giant PITA. It's my first homeowners claim ever, in the almost 40 years in the house. I'm old school, but these days it's all self serve, online, login here upload there. Being a first timer, it's been an anxiety filled, confusing process. My usual agents have been a big help explaining the online process, thank goodness. If there is such a thing as good people, in the insurance business, they fit the bill.

    Oh!
Out of the 96 random three flavor combos that I've generated so far, CAP Shortbread has only come up once - with TFA Raspberry, Sweet and FW White Cake.
I'm sure I'll get more combos with it, but that's all so far.

Not sure why they would put the shortbread and a cake in the same mix but hope you like it.

I'm glad you have good insurance folks.
