So what’s everyone up to?
Got done watching baseball a little bit ago, just in time to flip to hockey.
Made banana bread (not juice).
Started my sft of OOO Carrot Cake with a taste off the shake. Well, a few hours off.

Nope.

Maybe it'll settle down but I started getting what I'm guessing is butyric acid taste. Don't know if it's used in this concentrate, but from what I've heard about b.a. it would seem to be.

It started off benign, kind of what could be cake and maybe some frosting, but I didn't get what I would call carrot yet.

I might need to break in my wick better next sft.
I primed my cotton with unflavored which lasted a few hits and then switched over.

Earlier I must have missed that it was OOO Carrot Cake. IME, the OOO flavors do take a good while to settle down.

Hopefully it tastes better with a good steep.

It might, being a bakery and maybe even a "one-shot" style as it's supposed to present as "A sweet and moist carrot cake flavor with backnotes of cinnamon" and the website picture suggests a frosting.

I kind of figured it probably wouldn't go right out of the gate.

    Don’t look at the pictures.

I guess even if it is sort of like a one-shot that the different flavor components had plenty of time to get together before it got to me.
As far as I know it’s not a one shot and it needs a steep.

I made a cherry pie with mine, now in my rotation, almost gone, I like it. Peach sounds good, mixing that next.

Glad you like it. I had a note to mix it but never got around to it.

Earlier today I put this Strawberry Pie recipe together and will mix it Friday.

I'll see how that tastes and go from there. Might add 2% FA Strawberry (Red Touch) for a more complete strawberry profile. TBD.

I just got a new Target 100 about a week ago. It’s one of my favorites. I have two Meson AIO kits coming.
It will be my first Target. Still thinking about the Meson. A few more batteries first.

At the top right of my setup pic is a Pico. It's a slightly wider version of the 75 that can hold a larger tank. If you look close you can see the duct tape holding it together.

The Pico 75 has a single piece wraparound metal cover. The top and bottom are metal. There are tiny bolts, 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom. They screw into hollow metal rods that run inside between the top and bottom. It's a pretty robust structure.

The wider one is different. The metal top piece extends down the side over the display, the bottom piece extends up on the other side. In between there's a black plastic piece that goes around the body. That piece gets very narrow as it wraps around the sides. Unfortunately those narrow bits are what holds the top and bottom pieces in place and one of them snapped. Then one of the screws in the top came loose. Took it out and it wasn't a bolt, it was like a tiny wood screw and it had scraps of plastic in the threads. So it looks like there is a plastic block inside with those tiny screws going into it. A bit more fancy looking than the original but a total design fail in terms of holding together. Guess I'll go on using it until it falls apart.
