UGH, sorry for the mess. That’s a real bummer.
Yes, not really what I wanted to do at 5:30 in the morning. I put the bones and stuff from the ribs in a ziplock bag before putting it in the kitchen garbage and even put the kitchen bag into a bigger black bag to try to avoid the animals getting into it. I understand them getting into that one but the other bag just had regular garbage in it which never usually gets bothered.
Maybe the animals are getting hungrier. Who know. Probably putting it out the day of pickup would be better. Only other thing I can think of is a couple animal proof trash cans.
I finally located some cotton in my room without getting into the closet that’s a bit of a pain right now. I need to get a Dvarw wicked.

Quick update on my attempt to make a mango juice.
I made a tester with just 3 mangos, brands and % as suggested by @ShowMeTwice. Pretty good so far. I can taste mango, mostly rather faint but for some mysterious reason I occasionally get a really strong blast of mango. I'm going to make up a second one with double the % of mango, see if that works better for me. Then whichever I like best I'll add some sweet cream and maybe a little meringue and see how that works out.
I didn't wait long to try it. They say fruit doesn't need to steep. But I must say it seemed to get better over the course of a week. Maybe the three fruits need time to mix up together. Once I add the cream I guess I'll have to wait a few weeks. Maybe. I'm a bit impatient with this stuff.

We recently got big recycling rolling cans and we are supposed to get the big trash containers next year. I wish they had given us the trash ones first. There was a lot of complaining going on about recycling blowing out of the old bins so they did the recycling cans first. I know one animal that isn't getting hungrier and that's the feral cat we feed.
I guess the only option is to put it out early.
Expensive week coming up. Today the roofers are coming. Couple of places where wood landed and damaged shingles. Also getting a maintenance workover, popped nails and redoing the caulk around stuff that sticks up out of the roof and so forth. Thursday the breaker box is getting prepped up for the installation of city sewer, it needs a 30A breaker which means moving other breakers around and some doubling up. Friday the fencers are due. Last year I cut down weed trees and vines from a section of the back fence, turned out the fence was rotted away and the trees and vines were all that was holding it up.
There's always something. Home ownership is an expensive hobby. I need to get new siding on a short piece of wall by the front door. It has all the electric stuff on it, the entry, the meter and a whole house cutoff switch. That means having an electrician and permits and a big bill.

I remember when you could call the electric co. and they would come out and take the meter pan off the wall and suspend it for you until you finished and then come back and reattach it. (no charge) I think they are just responsible up to the attachment at the house now.
Yeah. They don't allow regular gravity fed sewers round here any more. The new system had an underground box in the yard that is like the grinder under your sink but really big. Then it feeds into a small diameter flexible pipe along the street that uses pumps to move the sewage along. It's a lot cheaper to install. They can install the pipes with a drilling machine that runs under the road for some distance, so they don't have to dig a continuous trench and repair the road.
Saves the sewer company mucho money, not necessarily the customers. The grinders have an estimated life of 15 years and it's on me to replace it when it fails, around $3K a shot. Plus regular maintenance. And if the electric goes out there's no sewer, just a 75 gallon tank attached to the grinder to keep you going.
I don't suppose you have the option of staying on your septic system. I'd vote out any local politicians that approved such plans. What if a homeowner doesn't have that kind of money for the electrical work and the grinder installation?

I tried it in two RDA's and liked it in both, got excited and posted.
Then I was thinking that folks checking that thread probably wouldn't be using drippers yet, so fired up a Baby Beast sub tank to check it.
Not as good.
Guess I'll leave the post there but hope it doesn't end up putting new people off of mixing.
(hopefully they will just think I have bad taste or am easily pleased!)
