@ShowMeTwice please keep enjoying those walks and reading on my behalf!! I wish I could do those. I'm waiting for good weather to rehab my knee a bit more. PT gave me guidelines that I'm trying to follow, but I so want to be out in the sunshine, walk and breathe in the fresh air. That's a happy place for me too. I'm sure you're up to the task!

A day with no walking or reading and I feel all out of sorts. The oneness with nature helps in maintaining my balance. And books, well, I still have that childlike imagination ( so..... ).

Sorry, I may have missed, or forgotten, something, why aren't you able to read?

Is that the same knee you had ACL surgery on in 4-5 years back?

I hope PT helps so you can get back out and enjoy walks and nature.

Good afternoon mixers,
Aren't we glad winter is coming to an end?

Good afternoon Tor :)

We never really had a winter here. With global warming our winters have become warmer and warmer. Way less snow too. This time of year there should be a minimum of 30.5cm of snow on the ground. We have none.

No snowmobiling this year, no cross-country skiing. No friendly snowball fights. Big bummer!!!

what to do???.............

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Hi Fran :)

For me, mid-twenties is okay weather for walking. Cold weather clothes, along with gloves and a knit cap, and I'm set.
There's not a thing you can tell me about staying warm in the cold. I used to log with first hubby. Don't care to bundle up like that again.

Not quite yet!!!  Come June, sure.

Some many years back, I did the Polar Plunge a few times into the icy cold waters of Lake Michigan on New Years Day. Back then there were 100's of people doing it. These days, not so many, handfuls at best.

It's a Scandinavian thing. And from what I've seen on FB it is still fairly popular there. Vinterbadning (winter bathing) has been a cultural staple for centuries. Viking tradition!!!

No thanks on that. You can do the winter bathing.

    Cookies-and-Milkshake-CR.jpg

    Choco Shake & Cookies

    CAP Milkshake 2%
    MB Milkshake 1.5%
    FLV Rock and Road 2%
    SSA Ice Cream Vanilla 2%
    TFA Bavarian Cream 1.3%
    FA Marshmallow 0.5%
    FA Cookie 1.5%

I mixed this at 70vg/30pg. The higher VG adds more volume to the milkshake.

Steep time 3-4 weeks / it is tasty off the mix; but does better with time / YMMV

Individually, CAP Milkshake and MB Milkshake are good milkshake flavors. On their own each is lacking notes the other has. CAP MS is excellent but doesn't have the malt note that MB MS has. Together they make a very complete milkshake profile.

Milkshakes are mostly ice cream. SSA IC Vanilla adds a lovely ice cream note. FLV Rock and Road added the additional IC and an excellent chocolate note. FLV did a fantastic job with the chocolate in RaR.

TFA Bavarian Cream adds an almost custard-like note. FA Marshmallow adds frothiness to the milkshake.

FA Cookie was chosen for its neutral cookie flavor. It's a background note. The chocolate from FLV RaR gives it an almost "chocolate chip cookie" kind of vibe.

It's a very tasty creamy milkshake. The chocolate is on the lighter side ( intentional ). If desired, it could be made more chocolatey with an additional chocolate flavor (1% - 2% depending).

This mix could also be made minus the chocolate for a straight-up vanilla shake. Skip the FLV RaR. Add 2% INW Shisha Vanilla, and one would have a very nice tasting vanilla shake. From there one could add a fruit to the shake (if desired). In developing this mix, I did make one 10ml as a vanilla shake and added 2% FA Juicy Strawberry ( was very nice!!! ).

@Zazie can you add this to your blog? Please. TIA :)
