I posted my (mis)adventure on a ladder a while back. I haven't been higher than 3 rungs ever since.
I managed to get through the day of work without serious mishap, and the weather was nice.

Finally got the wife's new PC up and running. The copy program only took 3 hours to run, after a week of studying the user guide and a couple of days of prep work. Still have a list of cleanup work to complete the process. The old PC's lasted 10 years. If the new ones last that long they might outlast me.
I'll do my own PC in a week or so. Mine has more apps to copy which is where a lot of the work comes in. Might take a break first since my brain is fried right now.
They sabotage copying of versions of Office older than 2016 so I'll have to rent the outrageously expensive Office 365. I only use Word and Excel but I have to pay for a dozen apps I'll never use.
I'm learning to hate Win 11, and particularly its AI bot which I refuse to even say the name of. It feels like a giant marketing tool more than an operating system.
