Morning, mixers.

Only mid 70s yesterday, they actually got it right for a change ;) Some scattered showers later in the week, but those don't look to be bringing much rain at all. And temps said to stay in the reasonable range as well, even though the yo-yo continues, but with guessed highs only in the mid 70s :)

Yard work, of course. Well, maybe ;)

Good morning, David. :) Good luck with the yard work if you do it.

Good morning random folks. Today we have a high of 77 and a 37% chance of thunderstorms. The worse part is the humidity of 94%. I have an eye doctor appointment this morning. I probably won't take my walk till this evening.

My 20+ year old mower is starting to get a couple holes in the deck but still always starts on the first pull. I bought some stuff to repair the deck and plan on working on it today.
Always started on first pull is good. I can see why you're repairing it.

I got my mower before all of the emissions stuff went into effect and most of the new ones don’t have as large of an engine as mine does. As long as it’s running good then I plan on keeping it.

My JD was 12 years old, also started first pull. The deck was getting rusty and the thin strip under the opening where the grass comes out had snapped. Only fix for that was welding on a replacement strip so I just crossed my fingers instead. It was self propelled, but the front drive wheels completely lost their tread so they just spun instead of propelling. The cost of replacement wheels was outrageous. Gave it away when I got the rider last year.

It's official: I'm going to have to get a new computer next year (I'd have to replace the motherboard and RAM on my currect device to make it compatible with Windows 11). The prospect makes me wilt. Choosing what to get isn't a problem--I'll simply buy the latest version of the one I have--but installing programs and figuring out how to get all my peripherals to work is going to be hell. It exhausted me last time, and I was way perkier back then.

    Woe, woe, woe is me.

Peripherals, unless really old, shouldn't be much of an issue. Had to replace my wife's antique laptop last year, just downloaded the current drivers and they all worked flawlessly.

Yeah, installing all the software can get... onerous.

Doesn't sound like fun to me.
