The last time I had proper fish and chips, they came wrapped in newspaper. Ah, the good old days.

Those were the days for sure. It's not allowed now even in England for health reasons. Though I don't remember too many of my mates getting sick from eating off bad newspaper. Slap Fish did cover the plate with a sheet of greaseproof paper printed to look like the front page of a newspaper. Presumably something nice and hygienic. Don't know if they did that for everything or just for fish and chips.

Afternoon everyone. I went to Lowe’s to get a new drain hose for the sump pump outside and stopped off for a haircut. It’s too hot out to do much. I might see if the wife wants to go out for dinner.

No, we are too rural for the new vehicles. The best that we can hope for is better hand-me-downs. EV would also be impractical for rural areas, but we won't get new ICE vehicles, either.

I went out and ran the new sump drain outside and put down some triazinine I think it’s called. I’m sick of getting chigger and mosquito bites every time I work outside. I was going to go out and try to work some more on my landscaping project but it’s just too miserable. It’s 86 with 71% humidity already.
