They were late arriving as usual but we’ve become used to. I do wish we could have wrapped things up a little earlier since once again I have almost no time to wind down before heading back to work tomorrow.
Good afternoon random folks. I just got home from the funeral of an acquaintance. It wasn't anybody close to me, but funerals always make me sad. All the kitties are doing fine, and nothing else is really happening. It's hot, but nothing out of the ordinary for a Texas August. It's 97⁰ with a high today of 99⁰. We've had very few days this summer over 100⁰, which is nice. I actually got rained on at work yesterday, which was nice...a brief soaking which was very much needed.

90 today, 88 tomorrow. Then it's down to mostly 70's. Maybe our heatwave is over.
I checked out a video today about the robot games in China. Some of it was pretty hilarious, especially the soccer game.
Mind you, I remember seeing a video of the first robot leg back in the 90's. It was suspended on a harness and connected with a bunch of wires to a big computer. Its job was to hop. It managed that one time in ten, the rest of the time it fell over. And there was the first robot car demo around the same time. A five mile course on a road in Mexico. The average speed was less than 1 mph and most of the vehicles crashed. They were the size of a bus to hold all the radar and other equipment.
We can laugh at them now, but in a few years they will be laughing at us.
