Rayon wick, better flow, flavor, saturation and Nic Hit!

first time i tried the 4.3 i used cotton. had the wick thinned and just into juice wells like they all said... dry hits like what youre experienceing.
my final build is using cellucotton, i stuffed the coils pretty tight, put sleeve on,trimmed rayon to about the top of the sleeve, then i took a needle like dentil pick and situated rayon over the juice ports.....
i used 26ga on a 3/32 drillbit 6wraps each
i have not had a dry hit yet...no gurgling....no leaking out of air intakes. first build i even left the airscrew band off(i was excited) and no problems

nice thread, JeremyR! After 1+ yrs on hemp (wicks, that is) definitely wanting to try rayon.
Just found an European source for us eurolanders: World Of Wool - Viscose
It offers two choices of viscose/rayon (I'm excluding the black dyied one, for obvious reasons), one looks like rayon top while the other seems suspiciously similar to your 'bottled' rayon Jeremy...
Plus a "sample pack", just in case.
Ordered both types, will receive/test them in a week or so. Will let you know.
PS: No customs... No import duties... Happy dance.

Thanks to this thread. Gonna join the cellucotton bandwagon. Order a 3lb box from Amazon. Almost got the "reinforced" on accident.

I'll be watching. Wife and I have 4 T2s and 2 RSSTs with cotton in daily use. Sally is in the same building as my work.
Sending wife to the Beauty Saloon to see if she can get me a sample before I head out to Sally's...500' should be good for a couple life times.

Thanks, I'll try to keep that in mind once i start my build later today. I saw earlier you said you never use juice lower than 50/50.. so does this experience vary with higher VG?

in my rba's i use 60vg and in the drippers i put no pg in my mixes. no problems whatsoever that i have found
just vaped 2mls in the aga t2 and ive got a nic buzz!
i put a 28ga .7 build on her. to be able to put enough in the coils, i stuffed the tank first then slid the coils on wick sticking out of tank.
like i say,was a pain, but....
the aga has never performed so well!
great flavor as an aga can do...great vapor too!
what i found telling was that i only had to tilt it about once in 7-8 long hits..when id notice some reduction in vapor and flavor, id tilt it for 1-2 hits and its off to the races again.
with cotton, id pretty much have to tilt it all the time.
in conclusion.....superior wicking......superior vape!!!

Man, you're making me excited for this stuff. I might stop by the local Sally after work right away.
Got a Kraken sitting in my cupboard that basically never gave me a satisfying vape. Maybe i can revive it with the cellucotton

i put the aga down the minute i got the first kayfun. it was just too pain in the ... to get the wicking right. man i tried everything on it.
cotton balls, peaches and cream, silica and at times was happy, i got tired of vaping a tank and sliding wick up. didnt want to change anything for fear of screwing it up and having to fight the ...... you know what im talking about.
the build i did was in a hurry and ugly!! but, it worked really really well. hope it works out for you. im sure it will!

What you linked is rayon top, like tencel & ramie. The crimped version would be the best option there. But it is not the rayon 'cotton type' we prefer!
Oh and I've been on 'hemp' for 20yrs! Lol

Good to hear. I've recently switched from 50/50 to 40pg/60vg and may go higher.
