Jeremy, yes, I will be dippin into Sally's today to pick up a box :). It's always fun to play with vape stuff :)

Thanks for the non boiling info cause boiling'd be a deal breaker for me. I like stuff simple.

@steam Head, if you didn't already send it you can hole off bro :). If you did, that's cool too cause I'll surely be sending some of this to my fellow vape freaks :)

Thanks for the props J bro and I'll surely let you know my opinion and I'm certain based on the feedback I already see that Ima dig this stuff :)

My man @Steam Head is sending me some of this stuff to try out.

I have read allot of this thread but I could not ascertain with certainty if this media requires boiling or not?

I may just dip into Sally and pick me up a box.

Cool, I have pretty much run out of reasons to make videos. May have to throw one down if I like this stuff better than KGD on my bottom fed RBAs vaping exclusively UFNB :)

No boiling here either but give the wick a few minutes to soak when first squonked. It gets better after it soaks a bit. I did keep my tails a bit longer than you normally recommend, since this wicks so well. Maybe 1/4" instead of the 1/8". With more material in the coil it makes almost a brush when you cut it. I am now on my third day with the same wick using Creme brûlée. Normally with sweet liquid it would be a mess, but the rayon is still going strong.

Have you tried moving your coil "down" a little lower .. lowering the coil usually gives more flavor (but less throat hit).

Yes thanks, but with little success so far.. I've been using this very configuration for over 8 months now, with hemp wicks, so I'm very familiar with it. Still, the flavor aspect of rayon seems to require some tweaking, go figure.

The flavor may be different.. From what I taste.. It's more like drinking your juice rather than burning it... That could be the difference... I always found the rayon was a very saturated vape.

I make mine 1.5 - 2 times the thickness I use to make the sterile cotton ones .. however I don't make my tails longer, I still have my tail length short, about 1/8" sticking out each side of the coil .. and it's been vaping great that way.

Whatever works good for you.. I'm sure it works good..

The reason I say longer tails is that with cotton it absorbs the juice and long tails will tend to hold it out in the tails.. but rayon will transport from the tails to the coil better with the capillary action, effectively giving you more vape time between sqonks. You may be able to go with 1" tails and find it works great too, with more capacity..

Many of you are just starting to use this; so expect that after a short time you will figure out how it works best in your specific rba/rda.

Realize I'm running 32g in mine at 5-6v . If you've worked with 32 at high voltages you'll know it gets very hot. Comparable to sub ohm.

Here's an example of a 2.8- 3 ohm 32g dry burn at 5v, heats up very quick.

Can your wicking hold up to that heat.

You've got enough for 200 years now.. Honored to have you try it out superX... you know; your a legend around here. ;)

Glad we got your attention.. I think its gonna freak you out when you take that first heavily saturated vape. Just keep soaking her till she can't take no more when you prime it.

my bag of rayon balls just arrived, and it was a bag of freakin cotton. I just called customer service, and on monday they will look into why I was sent this from the factory. I have a feeling it won't end well. I am wondering if there are any kind folk here who would be willing to send me a little bit of cellucotton from their large supplies? Thanks in advance.

Glad it works for you.. At same wattage and same coil as before, vapor production increased by far for me as well. Yet in my case the flavor went significantly down... I'm wondering if the massive improvement in wicking may be the culprit here: that may probably be fixed by just raising the wattage (but I don't like warmer vapor)

Vaping on my usual self-made juice: 0 nic, 95% VG/5% water, TPA hazelnut at 4%, provided it matters :)

While I wait for my rayon order to arrive, I've reused some rayon from a forgotten cranberry tablets bottle: had to boil the hell out of it for getting rid of the lethal cranberry/medicine taste, but eventually (mostly) succeeded. The fibers got a bit ruffled in the process, yet wicking is still beyond anything else I've tried.
Just switching the same coil from hemp to rayon I noticed a big difference. I run on a stacked zmax so I was able to crank the volts higher than with hemp. So more vapor. I've never had a problem with a muted flavor

I posted way back in the alpaca Era that most places that said 100%Rayon balls are cotton or a mix, I almost fell for that at a couple places.

Sally's is the place. Period.

what they had advertised on their site was definitely rayon balls, I checked the catalog number. What they sent as a different catalog number altogether.

You may be onto something here... So perhaps 'modulating' the wick packing/density - so that it doesn't overwick - may bring some flavor back. I'd like to avoid raising wattage if possible, for I dislike warm vapor.

I'll definitely need to do some more trials for finding the optimal configuration, but will need to wait for my rayon order to arrive for that (only a few wicks worth of rayon left)

Okie dokey, wicked up a different Reo and made those tails a hair over 1/4" from each end of the coil .. it's all good. The CelluCotton is so fantastastic that it doesn't seem to matter if the tails are long or short or if the wick is a little too thick or a tad thinner .. this rayon works great regardless! Really a GREAT wicking material and easy-peasy to use, a no-brainer.
