:) it was the smallest box they had and it was only like $12 :)

That's the only size my Sally's had too ... the clerk kept asking what I was going to do with it and I wouldn't tell her LOL .. she tried to get me to buy a different brand in a smaller package and I said "no thank you!".

It's like when I was a kid and the clerk kept asking what I was going to do with all those matches I was buying.

You may be onto something here... So perhaps 'modulating' the wick packing/density - so that it doesn't overwick - may bring some flavor back. I'd like to avoid raising wattage if possible, for I dislike warm vapor.

I'll definitely need to do some more trials for finding the optimal configuration, but will need to wait for my rayon order to arrive for that (only a few wicks worth of rayon left)

I remember mentioning a while back that it seems you can tailor your vape by The Density of the rayon. Or maybe it's wattage that changes the density you need..

ok, ive been watching this thread with great interest. I have been using cotton from day one of vaping, and im very tired of it. This cellucotton has my attention, and after seeing this thread take off over the last while, Im going to take the plunge.

I was going to say, what is Sally's?, but a quick google search tells me there is one right up the street from me at or near an Ikea. well, I guess I must buy a box and join the fun!

I just got some cellucotton from Sallys and it seems to work great so far. One thing I noticed is that there is zero cotton taste even from the get go. I wasn't sure how much to use but the consensus is to use more than you would with cotton. I used a lot more of the stuff than I would with cotton and still there is absolutely no cotton taste at all. The vape is silky smooth too. The vapor production is on par with cotton so no complaints there. If each rayon wick lasts twice as long as cotton....this will last me a few life times. I will definitely share this with my friends.

Hurry .. when I went to my Sally's they only had 2 boxes left, the clerk wanted to know what I was going to do with I because she 'd sold 2 other boxes of it just before I bought mine. Sally's must be shaking their head wondering what's going on LOL.

For you "guys" who don't know .. beauticians use it to wrap around a woman's head when they get a perm, to stop the liquid solution from running down your neck and face.

I haven't read but the last page or two.. maybe this is posted earlier.. Here it is online, 1.99 for 10'

Geezz... $6 shipping!

Don't think Sally has any smaller boxes of rayon than 500'. Same price online that it is in stores, by the time you pay shipping you may as well pick it up local, and not have to wait.

I am wondering if there are any kind folk here who would be willing to send me a little bit of cellucotton from their large supplies? Thanks in advance.

How much is int'l shipping? May hafta paypal me a few bucks...

I posted way back in the alpaca Era...
I remember that, it's so last week! ;)

Out of curiosity, did you ever get anyone to decide to give the Alpaca a try?
But.. but... I haven't even used up one pad in my 60 pad box of koh gen do! Maybe I should wait till we finally find the ultimate wicking material so I can stop buying the next best thing LOL
But you need to do your civic duty and keep the economy going. Besides, admit it, the vaping gear addiction is so much better than the tobacco one. :)

ive noticed that not one person that has tried rayon has said "yeah its ok, but ill stick with cotton".
everyone who tries it says it outperforms cotton
and its still in its infancy.....just wait till its been wrung through the wringer and more evaluations are brought forth.

really people...for something to come out of the gate with such favorable reviews tells me its the real deal!
