It is for sure! I think bubble wrap is around $ 0.50/ft.And it is probably cheaper than bubble-pack.

Yeah, I also experienced a noticeably different yet hard to describe flavor/feel when going from contact micros to spaced. I wasn't a fan of that change at first, but I was impressed enough with the increased run-time to stick with it. Adjusted to the difference fairly quickly. Gunkers still gunk, but the build stays vapeable for much longer.I'm still getting gunking on my coils, even with changing up the wicking (trying a little more, trying a little less, etc), so I'm now changing up the coils themselves.
I've always run micro-coils, so now I'm trying out a standard spiral/spaced coil. My liquids are either NETs or dessert flavors, which seem to have artificial sweeteners in them, hence the high gunk factors. I have 2 fresh builds, and haven't had time to judge gunking. But the flavor is... different that micro-coils, which I'm liking.
I've also tried the rayon in a dripper... and I am quite impressed. My Plume Veil clone never performed better, in fact.

The DNA40 (despite all the frustrations that come with it) is a perfect learning/test tool to see how well your setup is actually wicking.

I checked in to see what the rayon gang is up to and it seems to be about drill presses and cobalt bits these days.
As for the Rose; like the Kayfun, for me it works pretty much the way it is, and adding airflow does seem to take away flavor a bit. One technique I use (as I do lung hits only) is to "sliptream" where you let in a bit of air next to the drip tip.
Even with the Kayfun V4, I bought the s4 kit, but then never installed it and even choked the standard airflow a bit to get that full-on flavor.
These days I'm more than ever concentrating on wicking. The DNA40 (despite all the frustrations that come with it) is a perfect learning/test tool to see how well your setup is actually wicking. Once I got it right I now vape at 18W with a 400°F temp limit without going into TP warnings. That is now my standard for judging my coil/wick setup, and again, it objectively speaks for rayon's ability to provide enough juice for 8-10 second hits. KGD is a close second (I keep experimenting) but in the end rayon just seems to still work best for me.
Willy, I've started keeping a log of my builds. Sort of OCD, I know, but it is handy if I want to duplicate a particular build. The big problem is having four of the same device and telling them apart, LOL.
I don't know, Willy, I take so much fish oil I'm sprouting gills....now what was I saying?
If you can remember to take a memory pill, you don't need it.
I just tried rayon for the first time, after using silica for the past three years and all I can say is WOW! I grabbed a 3 lb. box of CelluCotton #44043 and I couldn't be happier!
