No credit card company can protect the card once you use it online. You give up the number and the "authorization code" to the merchant or the merchant's clearing house. From there, any unscrupulous person can use it. In this case it seems to have happened when I bought some software for the video surveillance system I use, which is kind of ironic.

I have also been tempted to put a telephone answering machine behind a picture frame before... pretty funny idea actually.

A good friend of mine got married back in the early '70s. Cheech and Chong had released the album Big Bamboo (sp?) and in it was a huge rolling paper. The host of his bachelor party got a friend to help him roll a truly epic joint using that paper and about 3/4 oz. of Jamaican. It was something to behold but it didn't burn so good- ran like a bandit.

And as far as "thayamax's" Avatar (which I love) I thought she was a he until she mentioned in a post "long ago and far away" something about her hubby.
