Can I ask how long the wire took to get here from the UK? I did some searching and I'm not coming up with the tempered anywhere else.
Sally's Beauty Supply sells a box that will supply ten vapers enough for a year for twenty dollars. $2 for a year-- much cheaper than the japanese cotton.

Willy, I placed the order on the 9th and got it yesterday so about two weeks and change.
It seemed like for ever but that is because the UK postal service is having some problems with not tracking packages as they should. Once it got to our shores I started getting tracking info.
No I sure didn't Paul. I think I made some meaningful decision that I am too darn lazy to drip. Albeit my Ex-wife accused me of it all the time.
I think I can say these guys use it for everything

I still have so much rayon from the box I bought from Sally, that sometimes I use it to wipe up spills on my vape desk.

That and I have found it picks up wire jiblets wonderfully too, by just wiping them up.
Most of us got it at Sally Beauty Supply has hair products, salon supplies, spa supplies, cosmetics, and more!. I got mine locally. You've probably got one locally as well.
There are 4 different boxes that I know of.
44130 - 40 feet
44060 - 500 feet
44043 - 3 lb box (900 feet)
44050 - 1200 feet
Just make sure it says 100% rayon on the box as the boxes that contain 100% cotton look identical.

Sally's is around every town. Check their store locator. The 40ft box of cellucotton Rayon is 4.00, if a store happens to carry it, 500ft should be 12.00. You can find samples of cellucotton rayon on eBay if you want to go that route.
You can also get rayon medical balls. From delascos consumer catalog, 3.00+ship for 200. Or tidi large balls 2000 for ~ 24.00 shipped.

I did Torch a piece of 28 AWG and it went from rock hard to limp but I really torched it. Some one here posted a "Temper" chart for nickel and according to that chart it should remain hard if you don't exceed temperature in the range of 750 degrees "C".
I have not used my Tempered 28 Ga yet but that chart indicates that if I use it in TP mode on a DNA40 I will never exceed or even come close to temperatures that would cause any annealing affect which sounds great to me.
Anyway if you have any specifics you are curious about let me know.
I have been talking to "Rob Ellard" at "Stealthvape" they carry Tempered 26, 28 and 32 AWG and starting next week will have 29 and 30 AWG in tempered also.

That's great! If you have an open line with him, can you suggest he offer a sampler pack of the tempered? That would be helpful for folks like me just getting into TP vaping.

On the other hand... Since his kid was just born, MAYBE you can use his fatherhood sensible phase and convince him
I would have got 29 or 30 but at the time 28 was all he had and I'm pretty happy.
2.5mm id, 10 wraps (spaced) on am erlp gives 0.14 to 0.16 Ohms. Pretty good.

You kind of lost me on this post.
Are you saying that you use 28 tempered? If so does it stay tempered under normal use? If you say yes I am going to be ecstatic.
I'll do that but he mentioned that they just got their machine re-programmed to wind the spool sizes they sell so I don't know how interested they will be. They do sell 10 meter spools.
Willy, if you have an atty that will handle 28 Ga Ni200 you should order some of the tempered stuff it is soooo much easier to work with, difference between day and night. I'll personally guarantee it will save you at least a half bottle of aspirin.
Yes I'm using 28 Guage tempered and yes it's still hard during use. The only concern would be dry burning but low wattage and short pulses should keep you under 1500F which is supposedly the point where it loses the temper.
I'm going to try the first time I rewick but this one is only 6 days old so probably only during the weekend
