I received my GP Heron Clone in the mail today. I wicked it with rayon, and put rayon in the top to use as fluff. This thing rocks, still working out the density of rayon to use as fluff, but it is performing very nicely. Nice thick vapor, great flavor. Today is a good day, I am a happy vaper, and my paps is complete.

I'm in a small town and we have a Sally's on the other side of the building from my work. Went on lunch and they had the 500' for 10.99 and the huge 3lb box for 14.99. I bought the small-ish one. Hope it works. At least I have two vapers in the house.

Meanwhile I found this

Fairfield

Sounds pretty clean with no pesticides or fertilizer used. Don't know where to buy it. I looked quickly in Joann fabrics and didn't see any rayon fiberfill or batting.

At my Sally's the 3Lb box was 17.99. Fortunately. There's no way I could have passed up the 3Lb box for just $14.99!!! (Knowing my vape addiction I prolly woulda bought both!)

Kick ayus Brian!!!!!

Any questions guys?

It's on like donkey kong.

Note-
this is likely his very first wicking with rayon and he's getting great results.. Also keep in mind it's not necessarily more wick it's just that its so fluffy and doesn't compact when dry. So it looks huge till the juice forces out all the air in the wick. Fluffy unrolled is best.

I've seen it. It's essentially the same thing. It's viscose they claim made from bamboo which doesn't much matter. Only difference is the bulk source. It's still broke down to cellulose and made into rayon the same way. Still comes out as (cell OH + Na2So4) then rayon is washed to also remove the salts you see in the formula. If it's not too expensive somebody can try it test it and see the fiber but it looks like it's bunched up you would just have to pull out parts which should stretch to straight

I gave in to my wick paranoia tonight, currently boiling 30ft. of Cellucotton. I figured I'd try it side by side in kayfuns with unboiled and see if I can tell the difference.

Cool man it won't hurt it. Super x's seemed to come out flat. I thought my first batch (from bottle) came out real fluffy instead... I think he said he hung it; while I dried mine flat on a stack of paper towels after I let it drip out in a strainer. And finished on a clean plate. That may be the difference I'm not sure I haven't boiled the CCr. I boiled the tencel when I did the chop & mix prep experiment.. it also came out fluffy drying the same way too.

Notice when you boil it you smell nothing in the boil steam. No residue in the water.

I'm almost done with my last boil, I'm boiling for 20 min x3, with distilled water and DW rinse each time then I am going to spread it out on the rack in the oven and heat it at 175F until it is dry. That way I don't have to worry about any nasties growing in it while it is air drying.

its a great time for you brother!!!!...you are the man!!!!!

Thanks for sending that to him! He looks pretty cool.

Word spreads like wildfire in the vape world!

This wouldn't be possible with-out you guys that took my word for it in the beginning.

Squirrels are wild this year, I've had a number of cable chew issues already too.

I cut off a piece about as long as I would use for my gennie wick in cotton. Pulled off a width about like my cotton. Wet it. It's like giving a cat a suppository. Played around with different amounts. Reused coils so the wick got dirty. Without thinking I ran the CC under the faucet. Amazing how it fluffs back out and straightens. Several attempts at twisting as tight as I can and this shaky old man tries to stick it in the hole as fast as he can because this stuff springs back fast.

2 AGA-T2s, single coil, 5/64, 1.7Ω, on MVP at 3.7v. Using these two all day today. #1 I filled with a 50/50 DIY NET. #2 I left with the smidgeon of leftover juice. Both got rid of the water within the first couple of hits. I don't notice any taste difference yet. I'll leave that up to the other testers. Both are making good amounts of vape for 50/50. What I am going to shoot for is not doing the gennie tilt.

I ran #2 about dry. Without tilting it still vapes but tastes acrid. Not burnt. I popped the cap and the coil is cleaner than when I started. huh? No signs of burning. I tilted the last of the juice to the deck hole and got the flavor back. No residual taste like when you burn cotton or silica. Filled it with RY4 and could taste it on the first hit. A few more and the old flavor is gone. This is going to be great in an RDA for taste testing DIY juice.

It does seem to work better with a tilt to keep the juice close to the deck. I'm no where near the recommended break in period so this may change.

If I rewick everything in this house every day I won't live long enough to use 500'.
