But it is synthetic. There isn't a rayon bush, tree, fish, fowl or animal. Its made by man.

I think because of its usage by activists for all sorts of things over the past 30 years that synthetic has had its meaning shift to be equivalent to non-organic. And that isn't true. It simply means not found in nature and has no inherent indication of this being bad or good.

Wick report: Day 3, tank 3 and the flavor and vapor are as strong as when I first filled my Kayfun. If this was cotton with the juices I use the flavor would be very muted and I'd debate switching to a new wick. Then decide to muddle through the third tank without changing just because it's a bit of a mess and bother and I don't want that.

Well, silk is made by man too... silk cloth doesn't emerge from those moths, men have to harvest and spin and weave it. Rayon is organic because it comes from trees, wood pulp. Synthetic means *created* by man, in a lab... like nylon and polyester -- which comes from waste products of petroleum.

So I'm just reading this thread, and having to play a little catch-up. Is this the stuff I should be purchasing to give it a try?

Amazon.com: Graham Professional Cellucotton 40 Ft. Box: Health & Personal Care

I saw a few different products mentioned, and want to make sure I order the right one. Thanks!
yes. its 100% pure rayon. [emoji106]

And here's a list of other numbers that venussky(?) Posted::::::::::

That is the 500' box. I ordered the 3lbs box like RSZ1. 44043 is the same material. This is what I found on the Graham web site. The stuff in green is all the same. The stuff in red is the reinforced; the stuff not to get.

Andria, by that definition, all fibers are 'man made' in the fact that they all have to be harvested, spun and woven, Rayon fiber is man made, in the fact that the fiber does not exist 'in nature', silk, cotton, hemp & ramie do.

It's probably more considered semi synthetic. It is cellulose extracted from trees and such. Cellulose if the basis of essentially all plants.

Hemp and ramie are degummed with caustic soda or lye, ect. So the form you use it as isn't pulled off a plant either. Try bast hemp fiber that is beaten off the plant and not stripped of gums. Bast fiber is more or less a straw type material. Cottons are also processed with chemicals unless its raw cotton pick off the plant. Which can have another slew of issues depending on environment conditions, pesticides, spray fertilizers, ect. It would still need to be prepared to avoid those things.

Day two using the lovely rayon wick. My cotton wicks were good, but I had to change them out just about every other day or more - the wick I placed yesterday in my Aios (in drip mode) is humming along just fine - lots of vape and good flavor. It's more consistent in it's performance then cotton.

It was kind of funny though when I went to the local Sally's to try to find the stuff. I had seen the package online and, so, was looking all over the store for what I thought would be a small box...say 4-5" square.. or cubed in this case. I finally had to ask the sales person if they carried it and they walked me over to a shelf full of big boxes - LOL - no wonder i missed it. I have enough stuff for life I am sure. I only paid @12 bucks for it all though -- I just keep thinking, the fluff inside must be free, because the box and labor to measure it out and coil it up into a plastic bag (machine or human labor) - ship it all out -- surely costs in that ballpark. So I am not going to start trying to make rayon out of my downed trees out back, I am just going to look at them and vape Thanks for the info on this wicking material!
