Holy crap! I see why you are all raving about this stuff. I rewicked my Russian and I am getting the best wicking action I've ever had. I've wicked my Russian with cotton balls, cotton yarn (which seemed better than the ball) and no matter what I would eventually get a dry hit. So not so great for a chain vaper like myself. But with this rayon I can vape hit after hit and not even the slightest hint of a dry hit even about to happen. And remember I said I'm vaping almost 100% vg here. This is insane. I wouldn't have fully believed it if I hadn't experienced it for myself. Why are more people not using this stuff. It's fricken incredible!
Sorry to sound like a dweeb but I'm very impressed.

That's the ticket bro! That's what I was saying from the beginning! Glad you like it man, it's a game changer. Takes vaping to a whole 'nother level. :)

Awesome. This is definitely the rayon. I'm diggin this stuff. I vape 90/10 vg/pg and it's thick stuff and have a hard time getting it to wick well in my KFs and Russian so I'm thinking the rayon will help my wicking problem.

I'm 100vg and rayon is the best. That's why I started using it after I tried it. Wicks insatiously.

So Jeremy, after three days using the pill bottle rayon, I started getting very harsh scratchy hits. So I went to Sally's and bought some cellucotton and it's completely different than the pill bottle rayon, at least a different vape. The fibers are similar but I have no scratchy vape or weird taste.

Verdict: iiiiit's grrrrrreeeaaaat!

Is there any other known medicine bottles that have the rayon other than the Spring Valley?
My dad has a big ol' bottle of Nutramax joint stuff and the packing material looks identical to the rayon and it passes the burn test with flying colors.
Any thoughts?

Does it feel like cotton when you squeeze it? Rayon has a very different feel when squeezed. Sorry, I don't know how to describe the feel.

We don't know how safe any of this is - every aspect of vaping falls in this category. We do know that, worst case scenario, it is 100 times or 1000 times better than smoking.

Few here are qualified to speak to the safety of using cotton, rayon or my grandma's old knickers as wick. One of the things we have all been pushing is official lab tests to get some answers on all of this. Folks like Dr. Farsalinos have only just begun on juices, there is a ton more work to do on juices, wick materials, coil materials, temperatures, etc.

In the meantime, we do what we can to make sure 1) the versions of whatever we choose to use as wick are free of any additives, or we have an effective means of removing said additives and 2) there is nothing potentially harmful in the material, like the safety concerns that have been brought up regarding certain types of ceramic wicks.

FWIW, I'm a relative stickler for safety, and I've been using CC for about a week now.

For the record, I do feel qualified to speak to the safety of using Grandma's old knickers as wicking material. Just say no.

First let me say WOW, that was hard to get through about half of this thread, sucks being a latecomer. BUT the topic and great info kept me glued to it, Thanks everyone and hats off to you Jeremy! I found a Sally's today and a 500 foot roll followed me home, also a quick stop at WalMart for some sleeping pills.... I just at spicy mexican chow so I think by the time I get done making some new coils for my Kanger T3S's my tastes buds will come off numb and I'll be able to see what this rayon will do in clearomizer. Don't laugh, I've opened up the air holes in the base as well as in the base contact pin, these things can breath once you give them some decent air flow. Of course they aren't no RDA but I haven't made it to that yet, coming but not yet there.

So I had a thought for you guys, with the rayon wicking so good and knowing fluid flow toward heat (anyone who's ever tried to solder copper pipe with a little water in it knows about that) I wonder what would happen if your wick was barley inside one end of a tight coil? Would the juice rush into the hot coil and create huge plumes of goodness or will it be a big flop? Only one way to find out but one of you will have to try it, I can't. Thoughts?

You know guys there are so many different factors her that can affect your vape it's very hard to just nail down what the issue is. I could have been that it came loose in the coil, not actually the rayon causing it.

If you have an issue alway check the wick and coil before you pull it out. Hold it up and look across the top of the coil if the coil is higher than the rayon then that's the problem coil is drying due to no contact. The wick should not be smaller than the coils. It should either be even with it or have very slight shoulders. The wick should be in contact with the top outside coil it there's a gap you'll have a problem. It can happen after a couple days.

The rayon is incredible isn't it!! :) :)

I'm wondering if that Saltiness, whatever it is, was a contributing factor in my assessment of To Sweet.

Looks like I will have to wash, boil and or somehow Rinse some and try again.

I'll Taste some when I get home.

Well I washed it under some very hot water. dried it on some paper towels and wicked it up. Not sure as I tried a new juice.

Going to have to play with some of the washed stuff in the next few days. But I did take that out and rewicked with cotton again.

Every build on every KFL+ V2 I have has given me the Overly SWEET taste that I don't get from cotton.. This new juice was Tribute from Juicy Vapor and when I tried it in another KF wicked with cotton it was sweet but not as sweet in the KF wicked with Rayon.

I tried tasting the Rayon and I think I got a sweet taste from it but then I notice that my mouth was filled with fibers. Not a great idea.

Kraken Genny arrived today. My first dual coil build. Finished at 1.2ohms. Sally's CCr was fun to put in. Needed an extra long starter tail to get through the coil and thick deck. Finally made it. Dropped in a ml of some RWhy4 (from here) and let it sit for 30 minutes to see how long it takes for the juice to get all the way up. My mix is mostly VG and whatever the flavor contains. So it's pretty thick. It's also no Nic.

It never tasted like this before. WOW! And I'm up to 12W. Never been above 10 before.

Thank you Jeremy, keep up the good work/word guys and dolls.
