Does this CC ever get yucky? I've vaped 30ml thru this one wick and coil and my wick is still a bright white, looks brand new .. no yucky burnt color anywhere. Amaaaaazing stuff.

Your using the perfect density! That's what happens when you get it just right.

Got my cotton returned and bought a 500 ft box. getting ready to wick up a igo and perhaps try a couple builds on the aga t2. thanks JeremyR, you shall be immortalized in the vaping community forever!

Hope you like it.

Looks like a good source for ccR... Why not..

Amazon

Graham Professional Cellucotton 40 Ft. Box:Amazon:Health & Personal Care

I think they can most definitely handle the demand once it ramps up.
Just make sure its rayon. You think we can we request the 10ft bags in rayon, they only Have cotton in that size.

I'm worried Sally's will be sold out soon... (Along with a lot of po'd hair dressers that have to use cotton coil.)

I wonder how much different that test would look if a heat source was applied to one side. Pressure could have an effect as well (sucking). As it stands, I agree that all you are showing is absorption of liquid, not transportation. Of course, it's the latter one we are most interested.

For example, try that same test with a piece of SS rope. You'll find very little liquid makes it's way up the rope when left untouched. However, anyone who has used SS rope in a genny knows how well it wicks. You can burn through a whole tank without tilting the slightest. Something to keep in mind.

Update: Couple mils in and I've got the rayon cc wick and juice control settled in. Much smoother hit now that I've closed the JC on my Rose quite a bit. With cotton I really had to crank it wide open. I would guess I was basically boiling juice at first. Crazy how well this stuff wicks. I'd been skeptical at first.

Oh man, the Rose just loves this stuff! I posted some pics a few days ago with a feeding method for in the cup, but with Tencel. I'm still in love, and had the same findings as you, JC tighter, even less air, and because the Rose is sooooo warm and rich---sometimes LESS watts. I may get some fluff for the dripper, but working so well with the top, it seems like a non-issue. Enjoy, my brother!

JR--just went to Amazon for a 40ft box of CC. Although the Rose is tweaked for the Tencel, I'm having trouble keeping my wife away from my PV's. There's no telling what I'll have to buy her, but she;s learned nothing of the nomenclature and couldn't change a coil in her Nautilus...not to mention she leaves the house with 4 batteries and returns with 2! I'm going to have to sit her down and give her the master class. Tonight she was on my dripper and wouldn't let it go! I'd hate to buy her some high end atty and have her sit it down in Walmart...I did spring for another 30w box clone. I'm a good husband! :2cool:

Alright... I really want to try this stuff out but I don't want to buy the giant box containing 10 lifetime supplies. Can someone please send me some? I'll gladly pay a few bucks for a decent amount. Just PM me if you're willing.

If nobody else sends you some, I'll send you some out when my box comes in.

That's the one

Thanks bro.

It sure gets yuckky for me! I'm a low watts vapor, sweet spot about 8 watts. After 50 plus years of cigarettes I have no desire for more throat hits to punish my lungs any further lol!
Here's some pix of my Heron after a couple of tanks of GVC. Some are saying that this CelluCotton doesn't gunk up as fast as cotton. I think this is true, but this particular juice and this
build really left a nasty nugget of crud completely covering my coil. Funny thing is, the vape is still smooth and flavorful, something I can't say if this had been cotton and a micro coil. I'd have to
replicate this experiment with cotton to compare, but I don't see any need to go back to cotton because this CC is just so forgiving. Once you go CC, you don't go back!

Anyways, here's the pix. After removing the wick, I was surprised to see that all the crud was on the CC and nothing on the coil! A cotton coil would have been in pieces, but the CC didn't fall apart like cotton.
I had to cut it apart to remove. My coil still looked clean so I skipped the usual dry burn, refueled and kept on trucking after a brief pit stop!

That's weird/crazy. So the CCr actually kept your coils clean. Very interesting.

Could it be the holy grail - The self cleaning coil.?. (Exaggerating) Who knows..

Same experience here. After two tank fills on my Fogger V4, I unscrewed the chimney expecting to see the crusty blackness I'm so used to with using organic cotton from CVS, but it only looked like I just wicked and primed it.

My thoughts on voltage/wattage and the amount of Rayon.

My first go round with Rayon was on a EHPro Kayfun Lite + V2 mounted on a Provari using blended juice of several flavors.

I wrapped a new coil at 1.6 ohms, 28g Kanthal 9 wraps on a 3/32 drill bit. Call this build 1.

I used more Rayon that would of if it was 100% cotton but not that much. As stated in another post the draw is smooth with tons of vapor.

I then set out to try it on another KFL+ V2 this time a HCigar model used on a Vamo V5. I wrapped a new coil at 1.4 ohms, 8 wraps of 28g Kanthal on a 3/32 drill bit.

Used so much Rayon that I had to twist it really hard to get it through the coil. I also think I left to much past the coil where it bunched up at the top when setting it down near the juice channels, had to re-position it after screwing on the bottom chimney section as the chimney section caught it and twisted it.
I'm getting some throat irritation when the Vamo is set to my normal 3.4/3.5 volts. Just a few minutes ago I UP the voltage on the Vamo to 3.8, which usually cases me to cough with any juice I have used. It seems the hit smoothed out some, IE No cough right after taking a lung hit.

Now this could be me also but going back to the Provari at 4v and the EHPro KF I don't get this.

I think you can use To Much Rayon. If you use to much it gets restricted through the coil wraps and cuts down on the wicking to the center of the coil causing slightly dry hits. Upping the voltage makes the Rayon draw more juice in lessening the dry hits.

I'll need to Re-wick that same coil on the Hcigar KF on the Vamo with less Rayon and test. Maybe tomorrow night.
