Yes sorry, was posting in frustration while under the spell of a turkey coma. Working with vertical micro coil in RSST, I've had one wick last me a day and a half, all the rest I've made last me maybe half a day if that. I try to just use enough that I can still roll it up a little and poke it down in. I can wick fine with either organic cotton or KGD, just can't seem to get it quite right with this stuff.
What does the tail look like, and how tight is the wick in the wick hole?
On my Pulse G, it's pretty loose around the wick hole. I've been going a hair smaller on my coils. If the hole is 3mm, I'll wrap 2.8mm. Something like that, or you can thin down that part of the tail too. Then I split the tail in half that's inside the tank, thin one half to almost transparent, like Jeremy's "tree roots" (but leave it long so you can lay it across the bottom), and cut the other half to a small nub, about the same size as the top tail you have in your pic. The longer strands will feed the shorter ones, but if it runs a little dry, just flip it upside-down for a couple of seconds to feed the nubs. If it leaks excessively around the wick hole, try lining the wick hole with a little mesh before you insert your wick. If that top tail darkens prematurely, try snipping a little off the top at an angle. I guess this is sort of like iTeo's auto feeder? Sorry, I don't have a working camera ATM.
I just ordered an Origen Genesis V2. Woohoo, can't wait! A genny with air!
