Rayon wick, better flow, flavor, saturation and Nic Hit!

Yep. Fatdaddy Vapes V3 510 and bottom feed pin. Took about 3 hours to get a functioning squonker and several more to get it right. Other than the 510, I used found items. If all supplies were purchased new, they would cost less than $20.


I still want to finish off the opening edge with some more leather and a snap.

I used a battery box for the body of that one. I found an eyeglass case, to put to use for another go. I still need to work on the squonk hole, but the switch is turning out highly stylized.

Tencel *Top - is like ramie *top to work with, if you've tried that. There are guys that have success with it.

I still stand behind rayon being safe to use. Also I've been doing a lot of research to see if I can find tencel in that same cut.

I was looking at that too, I like it! What that says to me is a big FU to anyone who would want to try and keep us from vaping. All that will happen is people will go underground to share ideas & resources and become very creative. Good job Verb!

Can't put the genie back in the bottle! Just like the ebay sellers who market "solvent traps" that are nothing but a way to DIY a restricted device, there will be 510 threaded caps for a flashlight tube along w/H-D switches, etc.that can be used as a mod.

What I DO see being a problem if restricted (shipping, strength, cost due to taxation, etc.), is liquid nicotine base.

I've been using an RM3/A6 dual coil the past couple of months. Very intense flavor. I've settled on 28gauge Kanthal, 2mm ID, .3-.4 ohms. I use 6mg.

Well, last month I purchased a CLT bottm feed. First build, even with tightening the air way down, not much flavor. So, I built down a bit, trying to get there with some improvement. But, still going back to the A6 as my daily driver. Yesterday, I thought I'd try my first "fancy" coil. I wrapped two strands of .6mmx.1mm flat around 26 gauge kanthal by hand then rolled 2mm ID, .2 ohm:

Much better flavor, but still not quite where I'm happy. But, oh my, the nic hit and throat rape. The only way for me to run something like this is to step down to 3mg.

I agree w/the comment re NETs. I vape because I wanted to get away from burning tobacco to get a nicotine fix, so I do not wish to inhale NETs in any real quantity- surely not in the amount that I vape nicotine today!

As far as sources of liquid nicotine base, the vendors we have today are for the most part visible and accountable, although some may be better documented than others. For ME, sourcing nicotine base from an undocumented underground source would mean having it assayed by an independent lab for purity. Hopefully there will be a sensible middle ground that allows a safe supply of nicotine that doesn't cost more than cigarettes.
