Perhaps I should amend what I posted, I won't be making any MORE until I look at the design. What worked for the M-3 is not working as I wanted in the M-4. For one it's too wide, it needs to be tightened up. I may do away with the pain in the .... to make inner door and go with a shelf system for the battery to rest on. I'm also going to re-look at the switch, If I use a horn switch I could lose even more of the width. It will only delay me a day or two but it needs to be done.

I was reading between the lines...there were some swear words in there!

Ahoy matey! Welcome aboard, mind your footing, ignore that swabby vaping in the corner, arrrr..

Any mods I have available are usually posted here Red Sky Mods - Home

I try to keep the list current as for sale posts are quickly lost in the thread.

Yeah, I want to ensure it is, so I'm gonna take what time I need to make it so. There's lots of competition out there, so I have to ensure than people know when they get a red sky mod they have a killer mod and won't have to be ashamed to show it in public. Arrrr....

I've been thinking, something besides exotic wood inlay ... pearl? Bwa ha ha ha ha!

To head off any more PM's, the 5 scallywags posted a few pages back are sold, gone, history ... Next run is underway and should be ready in about 5-6 days, sorry, early bird and all that, Yarrrr....

I put the last coat of finish on the two Buccaneers tonight, they will be ready for shipping thursday, the finish shud be nice and dry by then. If the people who wanted them change their mind I will post them for sale.

The altered design of the Mark-IV is done already, the process should go quicker now. I will start another batch of them tomorrow. Design changes went faster than I thought, just had to tidy up the construction process.

I think I stay up too late .....

Oh yes, one last thing. I didn't know that VV was so much prefered over plain 5 volt mods, so I will be converting the Mark-II 'Wench' to VV (should be pretty simple) in the next week or two. If it works ok then the Mark-V 'No name' 18650 VV will be easy to incorporate. Dang I need a few helpers in the shop, arrrr....

Come on Brian!,I don't even have my mkIV yet!Now nuther, better one is in the works?
A vv,18650,6ml bottle feeder is the next gotta have box.

Aye! The new design will be .2" more narrow and the removable right lid will get a longer back wall for more squonk hole support.

Pearl inlay would be gorgeous - or abalone, or fake tortoiseshell <wipes up drool>. Keep up the great work, Brian! I love both the mods I bought from you, and am waiting eagerly to see what you come up with next.

I happen to have a small piece of abalone, or some fake pearl substance, give me a pre-order of wood types and I'll see what I can do fer ya!
As always, if you no like, you no hafta buy, Arrrr...

Now yer talkin. I may have to have a Dark & Stormy on that one........or two.

Avast me merry crew, today will be a busy busy day, I'll check the forums on occasion but I have lots of stuff to do. Things are picking up and I want to get mods into the hands of you happy lubbers.

The wench informed me this morning that so far I'm pulling in a whopping $3.00 per hour profit, offset by working 14 hour days.
I told her it will get better now that the designs are firm, jigs are made, wood is stockpiled, part sources have been found and all...setup takes lots of time....she worries alot, heh

Although I'm trying to make this inflated hobby into something that also makes a bit of profit, I think I'm more satisfied knowing people are puffing on a mod than a cigarette. If you don't buy mine, grab yourself something from someone else, lots of great PV gear out there and getting better all the time.

Remember, have a spare for your spare and keep on vaping!

Yarr! Rig the main sail, full speed ahead me laddies!

I need some input. I believe I can now offer DIY kits, but I am unsure of the state of the parts I should supply. With a plastic kit, you have to cut wires, solder, bore holes (sometimes) and install the guts.

The less I do to the wood and parts, the less the cost will be. If I cut the parts to size, cut out the inside of the box, routed in all end cap edges, bored the button and atty hole, then stopped, would that be too much? Too little? The DIY person would have to do alot of sanding, and careful fitting of the parts then put on their own choice of finish.

As for the guts, again the less I have to do, so If I supply the basic hardware, wire, atty, metal and flex tubing, pushbutton, battery contacts and let the DIY person do all the cutting, sizing, soldering and assembly, would that be good? Bad?

Naturally I will supply a clear instruction sheet on how *I* would size and assemble parts as a guideline, but they could do as they please of course.

I would probably not offer a kit with exotic/toxic wood. It would keep the price down and simple precautions such as a dust mask would be adequate for working the wood.

When I personally buy a kit, I want to do as much as I can myself. I want all the major parts rough cut and I will do the rest.

Looking forward to your thoughts on this, Yar!!
