this thread dereck?
Just about any hobby store that sells Radio controlled models would have small silicone tubing for fuel line, but the 2" piece sent with the kit should be plenty long. Also you will need to extend the metal tube in the bottle to the bottom somehow. The tube is 1/16".

When I make a shoot 'n vape, I cut a 1" long metal tube so it sticks out below the bottle tip and attach the silicone tube to it and adjust till it almost hits bottom. It was talked about in past posts but thats all that is needed to be done to change it to non tilt n shoot. Remember it will need a real catch cup, so you will probably need to drill out a deep drip well. :)

Heres a real easy finish 1. Sand until smooth. 2. Remove all dust. 3. Use lint free cloth/rag and 'Minwax wipe-on poly' applying a very light coat and wipe with the wood grain until almost tacky. Set aside for 24 hours and repeat 3 or 4 times.

If your talking kits, they will all go out either monday or tuesday again. I will send invoices the day before. The current batch of premades have priority but they are almost done. Arrrr...

G'day mateys. Enjoying the high seas are ye?

Cappy, I have a question about Luna for you. Remember I asked about heat at the chip? Well it is pretty danged warm. So much so it transfers to the button and I have to put 'er down. I checked this morning with a digital oral thermometer, placing the tip onto the outside of the body just below the button. 110 degrees is the cut off and it cut off in less than the 30 seconds for a reading. Is this normal? Should I be worried?

Don't want to hurt my precious!

Good morning :)

How long do you keep the fire button pressed? I've been told about 4 seconds is the maximum you want to hold the button down, then let the unit cool off for a bit before firing it up again. I think this is true of all PV's in general.

Has it always done this or does it vary with the voltage setting you have on the unit.

If you think you need to send it back to get checked out, my shipping address is;

Just checked out trying 4 mississippi's and that is pretty long. I would say I'm not holding it that long except on a rare occasion. Typically 2-3 seconds. I let off the fire while still drawing as Issac advises, however I do chain vape most of the time. Right now I'm set @ 4.5V/2.5 ohm atty. I tried 6V/3.5ohm atty and about choked myself:laugh:

Let me try diff. voltages and report back.

Forgot to mention, twice the mod has cut off and the batts still have good charge (over 3.8V), so I think chain vaping is part of this equation. Took batts out for a few minutes, enough time to meter, back in and vaping bliss again.

Yeah, it sounds like your working it a bit hard, the chip will cutout if it senses a over-current situation, then will cool off and reset.

Mine will get warm if I chain vape, I've gotten used to giving it a short cool-down between vapes anymore, if you don't then there is a chance the chip will nuke itself and I will have to replace the circuit board.

I should start adding a note about that in the instruction sheet I send with the PV's, think I will do that right now.

Yeah, good idea. Ever watched the mod review vids where they take 8-10 second draws? Gosh I don't know how they do that.

So is there a VV chip made that can handle those longer draws/chain vaping? Prolly cost a fortune.

I guess they don't care if they nuke the circuit board, batteries or atomizer by doing that. The first 510 pen styles I used had a automatic 5 second cutoff to keep you from killing your atomizer or batteries.

I've been using mine for what, 3 months? without a problem, but I remember the 4-5 second cutoff rule and let it cool between vapes.

Oh yeah, forgot to respond to your last question. There are a handful of other boards available, I am waiting on a delivery atm of a common switching regulator (might be the same one Brad and others are using) to test fit for the Cutlass upgrade. There are not very many choices we have when it comes to premade regulator boards out there. These things are triple the price of the MV circuit board tho, but high-end is high-end I guess, tho I keep trying to hold the price down the demand for top end parts is gonna kill the bottom line :(

Brian if you decide to go with it I can link you to some cheaper sources. You shouldnt be paying more than double the madvapes board. You can get away with one capacitor if you really want to. Some people have used none and say it works fine but its far less efficient. It will fit no problem but you will have to play with POT positioning.

Sure, I like looking at new possibilities. The board I am using now works ok but upgrading is always a priority. I'm hoping that the time I save not having to assemble the boards myself will greatly offset the price of a new pre-made board so the cost stays about the same :)

I just spent half my day building 15 of them for the batch in progress.
