Is there a template somewhere in this vast forum for mod reviews?

Cappy, anything particular you'd like covered that has been missed before?

I dunno, but it's not entirely necessary to do reviews on the older models, while I will still make one on occasion, I will be concentrating pretty much exclusively on the VV+LED models for a while as they have the highest demand and make the best financial use of my time. Once I get back out of the red I will go back to making upgraded versions of all the other ones too.

Thanks Laz. I'm kinda partial  I need to reshoot the back....blurry :(and get busy with a written review. It will be my first so I want to get some ideas so I cover the bases.

That Black & White Ebony mod is the only one yet that I've looked at the wood imperfections in it and sent it off anyway, small chips, worm holes and all. Isn't it just a GORGEOUS piece of wood? I will try to get my hands on more of it down the road. I guess sometimes the wood is so precious you just have to embrace the imperfections and admire it anyway :)

Wow, almost bed time, what a fun weekend

I don't envy people trying to wade through all the posts in this thread to 'catch up', I wonder at what point I should close it and start a fresh one?

Anyway, I need 3 more address from winners and they will start going out in the next few days.

Capt' Brian,

I am so happy I won one of your beautiful Box Mods in your contest! My husband and I are new to vaping and really wanted to get one. My husband will probably use it all the time and then I will have to get one of my own :)

Thank you, thank you, thank you...you are the best!!! :D

See Cap'n, it's paying off already!;)

Congrats Lorax! I'm sure you and Hubby will love your RSM(s))!!

Been using my VV RSM over the weekend and LOVING IT!
I'm going to try to post a review in the next few days.
I'm wondering though, being wood, I'm sure there is going to be some maintenance required to keep the finish looking good. What do you recommend? Some type of wax or linseed oil?
Then there are bound to be some minor scratches, from time to time. What would you recommend?

Agreed, and I don't know if I could call them imperfections. Each piece of wood comes from what once was a living, breathing unique organism where no two are exactly alike. Unique and individual yes, imperfections ? I would have a hard time saying that unless it was a man made goof where the planner chattered or router went wild. Oh noes. Don't ya just hate when that happens.

I use Howards feed & wax for maintenance.

All a matter of choice, but I would only recommend a wax that dries clear, as some may get in the pores of the wood and if it dries white then you will have little white pits all over your box. You can try to clean it with mineral spirits if that happens.

Howards drys clear. Even works well on unfinished woods. Home Depot & Lowes has it. Howard Feed-N-Wax

Ahoy! All the prizes have been tested, bubbled, packed and ready for shipping on tomorrows tide, arrr.

Has anyone noticed on occasion if you screw in an atty too tight, it seems to short the atty connector and kill power?

I found the only thing to do is remove the atty then remove the battery for 5 minutes (to let the chip reset) and try again, this time holding the fire button down and slowly screwing on the atty until it starts to sizzle. I wonder if it is slight size/tolerance differences between atty connector and atty as it only happens once in a while.

Just curious if anyone has experienced this or has a better answer to why it happens :p
