Great and let me be a lesson to you- prime! Enjoy.

If there is a flexible tube inside the feed bottle then they are rigged for upright feeding. Holding the box upright you squeeze the bottle until some juice pools inside the catch cup covering the atty holes. Then you release the bottle and the excess gets sucked back inside.

If you want to use the tilt & shoot method you will need to pull the flexible tube out of the feed bottles, then you have a tilt and shoot system. Turn the box upside down and just squeeze for about 2 seconds and go back to vaping :)

I think I may have sent the last couple batches with bottles setup for upright feeding, from now on I will include the tubes but they will be rigged for Tilt & shoot by default.

Ahh, the end of another productive day on the pirate ship Red Sky, and the good news is nobody fell overboard today!

The first 4 mods that are spoken for have been completed and tested, now all they need is a few days of finish work and they can be shipped out, Yarr!

I found it's taking me twice as long to put the guts into the boxes now, but the new steps will make a more durable box which will make life easier for me in the long run if I can cut returns for repairs down to little or none :)

I'm actually thinking of taking the Granadillo one for myself, It's such a awesome wood grain, like the stock on a fine rifle or the handle of a sword. I think I like it better than any of the even more exotic woods I've worked with yet. One great thing about making these is getting to work with all this magnificent wood.

Later gators! Arrrrr

I understand what you mean Cap, as the saying goes "if you like simple things you are a master of smoke rings". I know you have a lot of stuff going on, but if you can post some pics "your crew will work twice as much and eat half the stuff". As another saying goes "it's best to avoid mutiny if you don't want to end up like houdini":D
Just goofing around Cap, I'm serious about the pics though...

Ahoy, good morning me 'earties! Looks to be a fine day to be a pirate, arrrr...

As promised, here are a couple pics of the finished mods. The glue is dry now and they all need 3 more coats of finish and they will be ready for shipping :)

Good morning everyone.
Good evening from Italy. MAMMA MIA CHE GRAN PEZZI DI LEGNO!!! Cappy you are the man when it's about wood mods, great crafstmanship on your part. The 3th one (not sure about the wood type) is just jaw dropping, a beauty! My purpleheart rocks too, no doubt about it. About my one, how are the next layers of finish going to affect the way it looks?

Buona sera, vi auguro una bella giornata!

Right now they have different shades to the wood because during assembly I sanded a few spots to make them smooth. More finish will even out the wood color again and fill in the pores of the wood giving it a smooth feel and protect the wood more. :) It won't change the brightness of the wood much more as they already have 2 coats of finish on them.

While your on the subject, what do you recommend to keep them up? As I recall you have a special recipe you finish them with.

Howard Feed and Wax has been recommended several times, I have yet to give it a try myself as I can simply put more finish on mine when they look a bit dull. I have to try to remember to get some and see how it works.

Darn internet is slow as dirt for me today, I wonder if the buggers are throttling me ... arrrr... plank time!

Thanks for the info Cappy. Another thing, does your wood coating provide UV protection for the mod? I'm not a wood expert but I hear that purpleheart can drastically change its hue when exposed to sunlight, it can turn from a reddish to brownish color.

I don't mind about that, just wanted to know what to expect from my baby when it finally gets home, when is that going to be?

CAN'T WAIT, CAN'T WAIT, CAN'T WAIT!!! Oh man I need to start listening to De Niro more and just "...forget about it!"

P.S. Has De Niro ever done a Pirate flick? I'm not sure...
