Down the rabbit hole..
The paduak one in my avatar that I bought from Brian is my favorite wooden mod. It works perfect. Feeds perfect and its beautiful. Only complaint I have about it is my ikenvape cannon 510 atty wont fit on it lol. But my 510 stealth do :)
Why wont the cannon fit it fits and works perfect on mine?

you mean cuz of catch cup?

Phew, good to know. Is it a close fit VV? The stealth just about fills my mini's catch cup. And I didn't pick up any cannons as I have plenty of 801 minis, but the only difference between the cannon & stealth is color as I recall. 801 atty on 510 threads.

You mean in the center at the very bottom??? Looks like part of the marble to me. You discount your work TOO MUCH!

The hazards of being a perfectionist I guess. I've never shipped a mod that I didn't wish I would have done something better or different. The wench has to beat me about the head and shoulders to admit they are 'good enough' and can ship :p

For those asking, here are a couple of my usual adequate pics of the safety switch. It is inset inside the endcap and the switch is flush with the bottom. Click towards the front for 'On' ... arrr

Uh oh! Question cappy...will I be able to use an 801/cannon with the catch cup? They *are* my atty of choice and considerably girthier.

I don't know never having used that type, but the catch cap is just big enough to allow a 510 to easily slip inside. When you use it for a stand & fill it doesnt take a half gallon of juice to fill up to the air holes, lol

Maybe the 5v model I'm about to post might interest you? It has no catch cup at all, tilt & shoot only.

WOW that looks time consuming to install lol.

Is the discounted one the first one youve used Limba wood on? I like it :)

Tierrataz the cannon 510s wont fit in the CC. Its just barely too small.

Cappy the cannon is basically an 801 with 510 threads

Then it won't fit, the 801 will catch on the inner edge of the CC I use.

Cappy, are you a virgo?

Scorpio, arrr

It is, but I've been told it's necessary for a model that may be put in a pocket or purse.

Have my heart set on a vv with LED. I know those will be a ways out till your shipment comes. Prolly about the time the abalone will come in ;-) I have mods that can do 3.7, 5, & 6V with batt configurations already.

Love the darker woods like babinga (swoon), black walnut (silky soft hand), or reddish burls for a body and darker end caps like wenge or similar blacker woods like ebony but so expensive! I think the paua would look stunning against the burgandy hues of babinga....no? ;-)

Ok, the 5 volt model is posted, pretty little box, if it doesn't sell soon I just might steal it for myself, I do love my 5v .... so tempting.

I'm almost ready to start on the Mark-V's, all my shipments are in, I have enough parts to last me a month or two :)

And yes, paua would look totally awesome against the black of say wenge :p

Brian is the Limba wood new? Does it come big enough for bodies :p Me like!

Not enough for bodies, just end caps and inlay. This page isn't totally up to date but lists most of the stuff I work with.

End caps & Inlay - Red Sky Mods

I just got in Sycamore, Bocote and am waiting on Purpleheart for body wood.

Cappy.....STUNNING! Your inlay gets better and better. :thumb:

So you have LEDs now? I thought mid month.....woot!!!

My Hong Kong connection came thru lol, and I also got a half dozen from Madvapes as well. The LED's are reserved for the Mark-V's and I won't be making alot of those, too time consuming & too expensive, just a handful per month I would estimate.

I am not seeing the magnet, looking on the big screen here, have glasses clean and on, Nope, still don't see the magnet.
Cappy, does the Commodore see it? Me thinks you are too critical of yourself. Yarrr!

If you follow the arrow to the center of the inlay at the bottom, you can see it's shiny little .... sticking out, I cut the edge too close and exposed the magnet and didn't realize it till later.

I really need to get a camera that does better at close-ups :(
