This be Pandora's Mist, named for 2 sailing vessels that used to be owned by a couple of old salts in the neighborhood.... The Pandora was a beautiful 75 foot buckeye (or bugeye, as the sailors used to call them) who never sailed again after one of our friends was seriously injured by the boom during one of the Tall Ship races one year... and the last I heard she had fallen to ruin in another harbor somewhere south of here.

(this isn't her, but very similar...)

The Mist was a small 24 (?) foot sailboat that belonged to a dear friend of over 30 yrs., who just passed away last month. A lot of our friends lived aboard their boats in the Harbor way back when.. and many nights were spent partying along the docks... He did a lot of woodwork himself, and I know that he would have loved the Capt's work!!

The pics aren't the best, since I was running out of daylight, and don't due justice to the beautiful grains in the wood... It was the first one that caught my eye, because I do like the darker woods... so I couldn't have asked for a better choice... Thank you so much!!! It's just perfect... (and I'm sure she will vape as good as she looks...)

Nice! I like the story behind the name, too!
