I picked up a Canon A2200 after doing some research, nice compact and didn't break the bank. My old camera was 12 years old and showed its age by the crappy resolution, yar....

As this seems the day for showing wood in the making, here is a pic of the upcoming batch. (They're sitting on my Porter Cable table saw in case your curious).

Left to right are Cocobolo, Padauk, African Black & White ebony, behind it Mediterranean Olive, Purplehearts, behind them Sycamore, then Asian Marble, Wenge and far right Koa.

Ok, blew most of my day on these, all done. On to other things now. They did come out prettier than I had thought they would, so I'm happy for that at least, yarrr!

They do look VERY nice. Shame so much work is required. I think they would sell but not profitably and for what you would deserve for making them. Im guessing for the work involved you could put them in a top of the line VV box cheaper. Keep up the good work Brian. Proud to have a seat on this vessel. keep her in the wind.

Exactly right. It was good practice as the procedure I used to make these will translate into putting LEDs in the batch I just showed a picture of. I'm not sure how many will have LEDs, but some of them will. The mods with Nickel plated switches, catch cups, more exotic (rare) wood and LEDs will be called the Cutlass. Some of the wood I used for bodies this time is much more expensive and harder to get than my usual selection.

I'm not sure how many will have LEDs, but some of them will. The mods with Nickel plated switches, catch cups, more exotic (rare) wood and LEDs will be called the Cutlass. The display meters? They were Zebra, Purpleheart, Makore and Cocobolo. I made the Cocobolo for Taz.

Yeah, that Koa is pretty, it's the only piece I have that is spalted like that. I only have enough wood for two B&W ebony, one Asian marble and two Koa Buccaneers. I need to order wood again, arggg...
