Thanks Tim, we do seem to have very similar taste.
I was looking at the Oak Woodvils but I decided to get something darker in colour.
I was originally going to get a Green Grand but I wanted a really deep emerald green and in the pictures I've seen it looks a little paler than I had imagined.

Here is a pic of the Gold Straight and the Gold Solid Empire Drip Shields on my two Woodvils.
Right now they are purely cosmetic .... They are on Boge Stainless cartos and they fit great.
The Caramel pawn is on a 3Ω at 5 volts .... Yummy .... With Boba's Bounty.
The Bumble Bee pawn is a 2Ω at 3.7 with Gorilla juice.
Not an exact match but I'm pretty darn happy with the look.
I think as the catch cup ages it will darken to be a perfect match. The color of the shield should not change its anodized.
I bought them just to give the Woodvil a different look than black or stainless sticking out the top.
I think I might spring for a few more colors to brighten up my BLACK GRAND.
Don't think I would put one on the mini ... thats my small and light travel rig.

reet wanted a little 'slip cover' for her mini, so we made one out of some leather we bought at the craft store.
it has a little softer 'hand' to it than the alum for her.
works great.

Yes, there's a bottom...it's made from one cut, and then just wrapped and folded over and glued. Came out pretty decent for our first attempt
I'm sure we could...we were thinking about a grand sized one anyway....may not get to it til next weekend tho...that cool?
