REO Tips & Tricks...some basic troubleshooting ideas

okay, i have searched and read thru this thread and i am not seeing this listed.

i am having a problem with juice leaking out of the top of the bottle cap when i squonk. the o-ring in the cap is pushed all the way into it and the bottle is screwed in tight, but yet, after a few squonks and vapes, i take the cover off and i can see the inside is wet. i have cleaned everything including taking the cap out and rinsing it good and placing the o-ring back in it and yet the problem continues. any suggestions?

It could be a tiny hole/split in the tubing. Happened to me once.

I have the same problem but it never leaks out of the cap itself so I really don't mind I guess.

Nah. I installed new tubing myself.

where did you get the tubing? and what did you use to get the tube on the li'l tip to the atty connection?

I got the tubing many months ago from thedeserttortise.

Rob sells it on his website, I believe.

As far as how I got it on there... lots of patience. It just slips on, but it's a tight fit.

Could it be that the hole in your top cap is a little too big?

I would PM Rob. He can tell you if it is the tubing. If it is, he will make sure you get the correct repair kit and tell you how to fix it. You can also always send it in for a fix.

In trading REO Mini doors, I had no door. So being without one for a bit was going to be a bit of a hassle so in pinch I made my own. Just get a recordable CD and mark it with a sharpie to an approximate size that you need. This would have been easier if I did it BEFORE I sent the door off, but necessity is the mother of invention. I used the offices supper strong paper cutter, though I think an exact o knife would have worked better and more precisely. Just keep trimming till you get it to fit. Use the CD hole as your squonk hole (that sounds nasty) when you line the CD up for marking with the sharpie. All of the shiny metal came off of mine so I just helped it along and I came out with this. Mostly a clear door for my mini. If you lose your door, this is a good fix till you can get another. 2nd day of using it and it's working great.

no, but when i blind squonk i never get the 'stop pressure' feel. it remains airy. which my other ones never did. i could always tell when to stop the squonk on it - but this on always has air flow. also, it's always bubbly which i don't remember happening on my other ones.

Ok lately I've been doing a little dripping on my Reo and I've realized that dripping is as close to perfection as it gets. Nice clean dry hits without so much TH that comes with an overfilled atty. How do I get my Reo to work like this on the feed? Whenever I squonk it's goes from too much TH down to burnt taste with very little satisfaction in between.

Can anyone even understand this?

Squonk lightly. When you would normally drip, you squonk; but remember, you are just adding a few drops (the same amount as dripping).

It's nit easy at all bec u squonk too lightly and nothings there. Too hard and it's overkill. I've yet to get it down pat...
