Please DO NOT use the GREEN scrubbies unless they are NON-SCRATCH scrubbies. Many of the heavy duty green scrubbies have metal abrasives embedded in them. It's the blackish "dust" you see after using them to scrub something.:I tried this mod using green scrubbing pads from the dollar tree seems to work real well. You'd need to use two side by side, cut to the same length, but it should work! Drinking straws from the grocery store are better and really cheap. The hole in the middle lets the atty bridge fit in there nicely.Do you think coffee stirrers would work?
Yep. I have a 510 with 2 coffee stirrers side-by-side since I couldn't find a straw small enough. I notched the bottom of the stirrers to improve flow. And I cut the tops at an small angle and faced thoe missing areas to the middle, leaving one large notch in the middle, to allow some room for the bridge to push the filler into. Does that make sense?Do you think coffee stirrers would work?
I didn't see them at the grocery store, but found them over at Menards (which is like Home Depot/Lowe's)The only way I'm finding blue scotch brite pads is bonded onto sponges. Do they make them 'plain' like the green pads?
Thanks!
Yes, that's why I make a notch in the middle of the stirrers.
To steal Kristin's drawing, I do this:

OK, I'm not so enamored with the stirrers. They're too small to let the liquid flow through.Yep. I have a 510 with 2 coffee stirrers side-by-side since I couldn't find a straw small enough.
Look at the pic in the first post of the thread. No notch at the top. The later pic is another member's suggestion when using two coffee stirrers instead of a single drinking straw. No need for the top notch when using a single drinking straw.Excellent! I'm excited about trying it out exactly like this on my 901. I'm not sure I understand the reason for the notch in the straw by the mouthpiece of the cart, though. Did I miss that explanation earlier in this thread?
