Robin was a one-of-a kind and we've been truly blessed to know her and have her amongst us.

She's been the thoughts of many, many people since Robin shared her diagnosis; people she's touched over the years, both on ECF and in the wider vaping community.

Rick, if you're reading, my thoughts are now with you and the family. I can't imagine your grief. Robin gave us a real piece of herself, and for that we are all immensely grateful.

Words can't really do justice. Her measure is her manifest: on ECF, preserved forever, her countless kind conversations and devotion to this wonderful community and its mission.

Thank you so much, Robin, and rest in peace.

I am shocked beyond words. She recently posted here that she had been ill and hadn't been on ECF in a while. I had no idea what the illness was.

Robin was a consistant bright spot on ECF and will truly be missed. Farewell young lady, you left us too soon. :(

Robin always seemed a constant on ECF .. she was here when I joined and we'd run across each other here and there over the years .. she always seemed to bring a certain Grace to things ..

There is yet no "Brain Upload", although, I'm sure, one day there will be .. in the meantime, Robin's interactions with so many here over the years will live on in the bits and bytes .. a small measure of Immortality ..

Robin was lovely and vibrant and her attitude was always cheerful. This just makes me so very sad...she was too young and had a lot of living yet to do. She was always so very positive and lived each day, and was so uplifting and supportive to others.

I'm so deeply sorry that she couldn't hold on......I know she fought bravely and was determined to beat this, and went thru a lot of scary things.

I know she would approve of my saying this, so I will: please get a screening colonoscopy by age 45-50.

I couldn't agree more. I don't know the details of Robin's illness, but perhaps had she gotten screened at an earlier age, she might still be with us.

None of us look forward to having an instrument up our ...., but it can be done while under sedation or under anesthesia. I waited until age 63 to get my first one last summer, which I'm a little ashamed to admit because I worked in the medical field and knew better. Luckily my screening was normal. The worse part was the prep.

Sooner if you have a family history. Colon cancer took my dad at age 36.

Robin had a rare mutation that had no remedy. Chemo would slow it down but not eliminate it like most cancers. She tried the HIPEC (I think that's the right acronym) route. She did not initially qualify but at a later date she found a surgeon who would try. By the time her date came the cancer was all over her intestines and surgery would be futile. Robin just got the wrong kind of cancer that couldn't be fixed.

The world lost a class act with the passing of Robin. She was definately one of those who was considered "good people" by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Although she will be terribly missed, please keep in mind that those who are fondly remembered by so many, are never truly gone. Her spirit lives on in all who knew her.

I I may share a memory of the dearly departed ...
Robin always was so upbeat and full of joy. She always enjoyed a good laugh, even if it was about herself. When she first became a Moderator, I 'suggested' (in my own smart aleck way) that she change her Avatar so that people would "know who they were dealing with". Robin just laughed, and seemed to enjoy the idea. Even though she personally was nothing like the character portrayed in this picture, she adopted the image as her avatar for about a year.

Such a rare and beautiful person to find humor and joy everywhere in life. RIP, dear friend.

My heart is totally broken right now. We will all miss her terribly and she will always have a place in our hearts.
Let this be a time for all of us to remember that life is short and none of us know how many more days we have left for this earth. Don't forget to tell your loved ones and friends that you love them and try not to take your days for granted.
Our love and prayers to her family and love to all of you here

Thank you for letting us know @classwife.

I read this thread last night and wanted to post then, but I had to give it a little time to process my feelings first.

My heartfelt condolences to Robin's family and friends. Take care of yourselves and give time the chance to help you heal.

Robin was a breath of fresh air here. Always cheerful, giving, smart, fair and ready to help.

Robin, though I am very sad you are gone, I know you are out of pain now and in a better place. Rest in peace my dear.
