I have both a 1300 mAh X2 and Revolver. The X2 is about 1/2 an inch taller but the Revolver is noticibly wider. I mis-typed in my last post; the Revolver is about half again as wide as the X2.

I get better vapor and flavor with the Revolver, and the 901 atty seems to fire better on it. But I'm getting better throat hit on my X2.

I think the Revolver may end up being just a toy, maybe even something passed along in the PIF thread. There's nothing wrong with it, but I think I'm a different type of vapor than the average user on here.

Initial impression after the first day is that it's a great product and works well, but the thicker diameter and heaviness of it means it's not something I'm going to be using all day, or even on a regular basis.

Ok, there's definitley confusion about the sizes here.

My iGo is 16-mm in diameter, which is about 5/8", my Volt is about 14-mm in diameter or about 17/32"

The reason I figured the iGo was a spinner clone rather than an ego twist was the 1300-mah and the larger diameter.

Can anyone else post some measurements?

Revolver Igo, 1300 mAH: Diameter 16mm, length 110mm
Revolver Igo, 650 mAH: Diameter 14mm, length 92mm
All measurements approximate. I don't have calipers so I'm eye balling with a ruler.

I've been using the iGo Revolver 650 mah for about 2 weeks now. I'm hooked! Best battery I've had yet. It fits in my pocket, it lasts me all day, and I love being able to adjust the voltage! I was using the Volt x2, and even though it's supposed to be regulated, I noticed a definite burning off a freshly charged battery, and a definite dropoff in flavor at the end of the charge. Not with the Revolver.

And I notice almost no difference in size between the iGo Revolver and the Volt x2, both 650 mah. There's no difference in width that I can see, and the Revolver is actually a little shorter in length.

Without doubt, the 1300 mAH version is nothing less than humongous :) (which, BTW, was identified as the primary downside in the original post). I work at a desk all day, and that's where I use it. But I rarely take it anywhere else - I agree, it's just too big and too heavy for that. I did end up buying a couple of 650 mAH versions, which I take with me when I go out. With carto and tip, it still fits in my pocket.

I have a bunch of unregulated nHaler iGO 1000 mAH batteries and experienced the same problems. I could get around the freshly charged battery problem by pressing the button multiple times for shorter periods, but it was a pain doing so. When I saw the Revolver, I bought one immediately and like you, it solved the problem for me.

Hi Catmom, a couple of guys found that the X2 comes straight off charge at around 4.2 (I think that was their measurement) then drops to 3.7. Haven't found it tails off at the end though - stays at 3.7 for me.

The 650 mAh kit is the same price Drew charges for spare Revolver batteries, and you get a clearomizer. If you like Smokeless Image's X2 clearomizer, then you'll enjoy the Crystal Vision rebuildable. It really does hit the price point perfectly.

I'm liking mine a little more. Still not an all day device for me, but it really wakes up my Cinna-Mint at over 4v.

I've got an Echo kit on the way. I may end up getting a 650 Echo Revolver if I like them well enough. Does that make the Revolver the first VV automatic?

The X2 comes off at 4.2-V with no load, but in reality it drops to 3.7-V when you actually are vaping. So it never gives a true 4.2

IGo threading is new to me. Will the Revolver IGO/808 battery work with S.I.'s new X2-T3? Also, does it have any kind of charge level indication like the eGo batts. TIA

J.R.

Yes any of the iGo stuff will work with anything SI sells.

I just realized the twist has that charge level indicator yesterday. I don't own a twist so I don't know how obvious the change from white to sky blue to blue is. The iGo LED is white, but white in LED terms always seems to be a blueish white, so I'd have to actually see how the ego does it to know.

I carry the Revolver and an X2 with me all the time, when I get home at the end of the day each one takes it's turn charging, so I rarely get the batteries all the way down.

Yes I think the echo is the first VV automatic. I'm curious to see it as it doesn't have an ego thread, just a flat 808 connector.

Also yeah the prices on the kits at Nhaler are really good, If I was to buy another igo I'd get a kit for the few extra bucks to get the charger, even though I don't think I want more of the clearos.

Theoretically. :) But guys on the SI forum noticed it was definitely hitting a little harder than normal straight off the charger - which was why they measured the voltages. It drops to 3.7 volts pretty quick, but initially it does hit harder. And I expect that is what the person I responded to was experiencing too.

I'll have to test it, I initially read directly from the battery, but once I built my test rig to measure while vaping I never saw it above 3.7. I can't promise I ever tried it on a full charge.

... Just realized my X2 is fully charged, so I tested it.

-- no head: 4.23-V
-- 2.5-ohm: 3.98-V
-- 1.5-ohm: 3.79-V

So I stand corrected, although it's not giving 4.2 it is going slightly higher on a full charge.
