Ooooh! Pretty pretty! I can see the top of one of those ornaments as a donut drip tip. Yum!

If he begins to make donut drip tips then he's committing intellectual property theft! It would be frowned upon by many and we all know that trippytips created those as an original dialog! They may not have patents but most glass artist do respect the original dialogs of artist in that field....

let's not go into that Odi, seriously.

I'll just leave that useless discussion with this.

you guys don't have any problems supporting emsmom. know what I'm saying?

we haven't even seen anything from these guys yet. lets not get ahead of ourselves and start a war over nothing.

I'm hoping for great things from these guys personally. :)

I wasn't even talking to the supplier! I just didn't like that someone would suggest that another supplier unveil a product that would be a knock off of another vendors products on his original inception! I had no intentions of having it escalate....But since it's such a "useless discussion" why further facilitate it's progression by commenting on it at all?..... just saying lol

Edit: and if you have anything else to add to the matter you can contact me in PM just to keep the thread clean!

to stop it from escalating over a vaporware as of this moment.

new glass blower, trying break into the business. let's be supportive and keep all unnecessary discussion out of the thread.

.... Just to clarify once again! I was never attacking the new supplier! Nor was I being unsupportive of him! I was simply responding to another persons post! Pointing out how and why it was bad advice.... Not that I thought he would take it but if he did his original unveil would have been met with the same reception as Ems (who is currently closing up shop)

I just discovered this thread today and am anxious to see some prototypes. I loved the coloration of the perfume bottle you posted. The only problem with that is that it would make it difficult to see your juice level, which is an important factor in my opinion. For that reason, I think the color designs in the ornaments you posted might make more sense for an actual tank. I like the idea of drip tips in the more opaque colors though.

Another important issue for me would be durability. I know all glass has the potential to break, especially if dropped. But I suspect these will be rather pricey and I would hate to have it break the first time I knocked my provari over.

Ease of filling and the lack of leakage would also be other obvious issues.

I'm looking forward to seeing the designs you come up with.

I'm glad you found this thread and we appreciate your interest and input!

As far as the solid coloration of the perfume bottle I posted, we will be offering tanks of that basic style, but we will always integrate a bit of clear glass so that the liquid level inside is easily visible. Viewing the liquid is not an issue when it comes to drip tips, so we will have even more creative flexibility in the colors and designs for those.

On the durability note, we will be using borosilicate (aka Pyrex) glass for all of our products which will be properly annealed, resulting in a quite durable finished product. We will also make everything with glass as thick as possible to further increase the toughness. However, as you mentioned, glass is glass and will always have a potential for breakage, and therefore should always be treated with care.

Making tanks that are easy to fill and don't leak will be a top priority for us. We know that a PV accessory is basically worthless if it doesn't function well, regardless of how beautiful it may be.

Thanks again for your interest!

Glad to see that you are progressing towards a product release! Many of us are very excited to have another option in art-glass accessories. For me, glass is the only tip that will touch my lips. Sometimes, that makes it difficult to try new products (different attys, etc) but there is a whole world of new suppliers providing what we need. Looking forward to seeing some of your finished designs!

To misterkai, grats and looking forward to seeing what you come up with! Why not jump on a plane and bring some pieces to vapestock? Vapestock 2012

Thanks so much! I'd love to come to Vapestock, but I'm in Italy right now and won't be back in the states until a few days after the party... :(
