....is one (if minor) reason I quit analogs. As it stands, however, I am spending far more than I anticipated buying juices and hardware and the like. Now I am saving money....to purchase a Caravela mod.

My good god. Those are breath-taking.

I started up to save money and my health.. I've saved my health, but no money :D

Last week alone, I think I spent around $600

A Caravela is on my list of must haves, but I think I should cool it for a bit :)

That makes me feel much better. Least we have our health, eh?

Once you get the hardware you like (a never-ending quest) you can save a lot of money by getting an RBA (rebuildable Atomizer) and learning to make your own coils & wicks (not that difficult to do - there are many sub-forums on this site & How-to videos on Youtube), and after that look into making your own juice...the savings are orders-of-magnitude over what you pay from vendors.

Quick example - for what you pay for 30ML of juice from the average vendor, you can buy a GALLON of VG or PG ($20). I've come up with a few juices that I like better than about 90% of what I've tried from vendors because I can tune them to what I like + It's a lot of fun.

Even after you add a few flavorings & a little high-concentrate Nicotine juice (if you want nic in your final product), you will still be saving enough money to easily keep up with your hardware-buying habit (trust me - that's the biggest problem :) )

It costs a few bucks to get all the necessary hardware & materials to get going, and takes a little time to master some of the techniques, but once you have everything down, you can vape for literally pennies a day.....

Have fun

I like shiny things too!!! :2cool: No but seriously you guys should look into making your juice. Its way cheaper, and easier to do than I thought it'd be. I even like my juice better then stuff I buy from a vendor. Just my :2c: Vaping can save you money if you budget it with what you spent on cigs. I blame ecf for always having something new I want everytime I log in. :p JK

I use fairly high end hardware, but only buy devices, or batteries for them, infrequently. Good devices really do stand up better than the mass produced ones, are cheaper in the long term. I vape 6 ml/day, but got into DIY after only a few months.

I haven't bothered with an RBA yet, tend to use pricey but very good cartos, and pretty good atties.

Early on, stock KR808D-1, then Riva/eGo gear, vendor eliquid at 3 ml/day, I ran about $4.25/day all-in (including S&H). Since switching to good VV PVs, and DIY at 6 ml/day, my running cost has been about $2 - $2.25/day. As a PAD smoker, cigs were running over $9/day where I live, so I was saving even the first couple months.

No need to rush into DIY, it isn't for everyone but is an option. I started after about 3 months, very happy with it. My unflavored nicotine base of choice is only 36 mg/ml, I don't need to use higher strength except in pretty rare occasions (though higher strength is very handy for long term storage).

Start up doesnt have to be that high though. Geez ya'll, I broke even in 2 weeks and and save 100.00+ a month. Sorry if im bragging you dont need a 100.00 deviceto get a good vape. imho. Now saving even more since starting DIY after 3 months vaping also. 36 in childproof isn't too bad, do it away from children and clean up. My start up cost for first month was 60.00 total , including juice.

I am not so much into hardware, though after 2.5 months of vaping I purchased my first mod (vamo) and still need some better atomizers for dripping. But I'm tottally into DYI and made at least 5 very tasty liquids so far (in two months). I don't think I saved too much, and I plan to buy more aromas from Cap, TFA and FW, so... never ending story:D
But still, VG and PG are ridicolously inexpensive in some farmer's shops and as I vape very weak nic levels, it's very cheap in a long run. And so much fun!

I've spent the last two and a half years buying whatever I wanted in the vaping world :D (well, almost everything;) ) It's been fun and I don't regret a penny I've spent, but today starts a new path in my vaping journey for me.

I have a huge stash of stuff that I need to keep me happily vaping for years into the future with the exceptions of sometime down the road needing new lion batteries, flavorings, Vg, Pg, and wicking materials for my RBA's. Starting today I have a vaping budget of $5 per week. That $5 is gonna be put into a coffee jar every week and if I need or even want something for my vaping I have to have the money in that cookie jar to pay for it before I purchase it. I'm sure I may find a few extra dollars once in a while that I can put in that cookie jar to supplement that budget but it won't happen often. My local vape store will be seeing most of my vaping dollars that I do spend on toys.:)

I've got a few things I've purchased recently that I'm still waiting for to arrive in the mail. Its gonna seem awful strange to not be stalking my mail lady regularly anymore 8-o No doubt shes gonna be knocking on my door in a few weeks inquiring if everything is ok;)

I figure I was spending $250/mo on analogs, so that's my vape budget. After the ProVari and DIY gear though, and an RBA and ibtank on the way, I think I'm done for a while. It catches up quick.

$250/mo on analogs?

Was burning up $360/mo at least!! (They tax heavy on tobacco, where I'm from.)

Had switched to vaping a couple of weeks ago, and god.... I can finally see some 'real' savings...
