I have a small fear that the Serpent's weak point will be the unserviceable seal between the chimney stem and chamber. Maybe yours has an issue there. I have yet to have an issue with filling mine.
I've been a bit curious of just how they accomplished that, figured it's an o-ring. How to change that if needed?

There's only 3 o rings. One on the base and two on the top cap where you fill from. There is no o ring on the chimney or juice flow.

There has to be a seal between the chimney stem and chimney base, or it would flood incessantly.

The problem, is that if that seal fails, it can't be serviced....at least not easily, because the tank section is press fit together.

Just water tested my tanks.

The chimney is properly sealed in one tank.
The juice control does not fully seal when fully closed.

Second tank has no O ring in the chimney. Looks like I'm sending this tank back.
Good point, I noticed the juice flow is not as smooth turning as my other two and when closed the fill ports on the top do not line up properly. might be some kind of seal in there is defective. I just contacted eccigity and looks like I'll be exchanging this one.

One of two doesnt line up properly either, but its not an issue for me since i can fill the tank with no leaks with juice control at full open position. Might be an issue with thinner 50/50 juice, but it all comes down to wicking.

I wicked my tank using smaller pancakes + small, trimmed, tails going down the juice channels 1/4 of the way. No leaks, no burping required. At times i have to prime the tank a bit, to get some air into it to prevent dry hits at +50watts. ADV is at 30w and the juice flows nicely. Vaping on 80VG juice.

I just received mine and have a few questions for the Serpent owners - is your juice control part of the tank wobbly when fully open? Does it move when pulling it up and down a bit? Can you see a gap between it and the tank's uppermost end when fully open? Do you sometimes have a liquid seeping out of the place where juice control and tank meet (uppermost)?

Roxy, I found my Serpent really kicked in on my second tank. Not sure why the delay, but that may be what it took for me to get my airflow and watts balanced. Using 5 wrap 26/32 spaced Clapton, fairly close to the deck. Came out to 0.77 and I am vaping between 23-27watts, depending on how much I want to cloud my windshield up. Vaping 70/30 vg/pg. NET cigar I did up a few weeks ago. Wonderful.

I have never had a leak on this at all and have run over 30 tanks and rewick about every 2 days due to the NET juice.
What id did you use? Thanks!

Something new i learned today.

Even if you keep the juice control fully opened, you can use the "chimney/juice" control to some minor extent to position and reposition your wick. The chimney rubs against the wick when you put the tank on to the base. When you screw the tank on to the base, the chimney rubs against the wick and moves the wick a bit clocks wise. With a bit of practise, you can adjust the wick by ear and with some practise, by moving the wick counter clockwise and back into its position and closer to juice channels.

Makes sense? 1/4 - 1/2 should be enough in most cases.

If you own a tank that has a two part chimney like Lemo V1, then you will know what im talking about.

This method, with a bit of practice will allow you to dial in your wick to perfect position.

Fully open the juice control, then turn it towards close 1/4-1/2 turn.

This tank is just full of surprises.

Lesson of the day:
Do not take the tank apart unless you plan to rewick it. Other wise it will leack every time you fill it while the juice control is in open position.

If it leacks, run a tiny stream of water through bottom air hole, while holding the tank at 45 degree angle to clean the juice from inside the tank and drain it through the apposite air hole.
You will be Vaping water for few min at low wattage but it will clear up. Just don't forget to prime the tank a bit to get the wick saturated with juice.
