Well I'm finally got my Serpent working how I want it. I was having major difficulties getting it to wick properly, no matter what it was unable to keep up and I'm using 75% PG. What I did was to Dremel the top of the deck down a bit opposite the posts. From the juice feed channel clockwise about 6 mm and 2 mm deep. I seem to have got it. I'll get a picture next time I'm into it.

Got my ss and black serpents yesterday. I was skeptical at first. But after a bit of tinkering, I have found that I really like the performance and look of the tank.

My favorite part is the juice-flow control. I never have to restrain myself if I'm wanting to chain-vape! LOL! Just open it up a little more, and no more dry/burned hits. :D Plus it's easy to fill, it's not too noisy, and it looks good. They, I mean. I got a black one and a SS one, too. I'd like to get some more!

I figured you would like em. I have 2 stainless ones and like them.
I mostly use them on my Kato box clone.

And you were right. ;) I wish they'd done a better paint job on the black one, though. It arrived with several small (very tiny, but noticeable) chips in the paint, which looks to be exactly ONE coat thick. But I don't care, because I love the performance. :)

I agree. The juice flow control is very nice. I only get 10 min breaks at work so I tend to vape like a fiend to get my nic fix.

So how would you compare the Serpent to the STM RBA as far as the air flow control.
I fired up the STM RBA in a Kraken V2 tank last night and vaped it along side a mini nautilus with the VVTF RBA. I still prefer the mtl restrictive draw and flavor of the nautilus RBA, but the STM was still decent with the airflow almost all the way shut. I have a Serpent on the way, but I wonder if its even possible to dial down the airflow to my liking.

Wide open the Serpent is a bit less restrictive than the Subtank Mini.
I suspect it can be used MTL but not what is is really made for.

Yeah I kind of suspected that. I got a good deal on the Serpent from one of our members in the classifieds here. It looked like it was borderline for MTL, but possibly doable with some slight modifications. Or it could make a good back up/ fill in like the STM.

I'm rocking my Serpent on my Mini Volt. Yay! Looks funny.

I'm not an expert with MTL, but with the Serpent's AFC closed off to the smallest setting, the vape can be considered a MTL, just barely as it is still too airy. The flavour is still definitely there.
