Hey! been while since i posted in here. Since i got the serpent a few months back i have picked up the griffin 25mm, Smok TF-RDTA and Aspire Cleito. lol guess what tank i still find myself going back to and am vaping on right this second? SERPENT! Think i just love me some single coil tanks man. Looking into the Merlin next. Anyone switch over from the serpent to the Merlin? and any thoughts on it ?
I'm also considering getting the merlin. Not so much to switch but to use next to it. Still loving my Serpent though.

I have several serpents and love them but they have taken a back seat to the Merlin now. The Merlin deck is so much easier to build on and the flavor is just as good as the serpent and they are about the same price (or were).

I've heard the Merlin has a somewhat restricted airflow. I like my Serpents with the air flow wide open. How does the Merlin compare to that?

I've seriously decided that these Serpents have passed the iSub G tanks as my favorite everyday tank. I was thinking about getting a couple more of them, however, I've been hearing a lot of good things about the Merlin as well. The only reason I've hesitated on that one is because of the restricted airflow. I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts on how the Serpent and Merlin compare, airflow-wise. :)

Sigh... So far i've only heard positive things about the merlin, now i have to get it. When will this ever stop?

P.S. I still like you very much dear Serpent! Don't take it personally. I'll even get an extra vapocalypse spare one, if you insist.

LMAO! I just finished placing my order for the Merlin like 5 seconds ago. Especially after watching DJLSB's Review on it and saying it's his new favorite single coil tank, passing the Serpent now.

I too love my serpents.
However I do not have a Merlin. Boden does but not sure if he has a regular serpent or not. I know he has the Serpent Mini but it is quite different from the full sized one.
I THINK that the Merlin has a bit more airflow than the serpent if you remove the airflow restrictor.

:lol::lol: I don't know when it will stop for you, but for me, it all comes to a screeching halt on August 8th. My state doesn't allow any online ordering or shipping of "tobacco products," so I have to get stocked up SOON!

Oh, hey, Robert, THANKS! I totally forgot about that! I just have to pull that thingie in the middle out and then it should work great for me, huh? ;) (I'd still like a couple more of these Serpents, just because I like them so much.)

Restricted airflow? Couldn't be farther than the truth. It has massive airflow, similar to the Serpent. I shouldn't say it has replaced the Serpent but the Serpent has taken a back seat. I'll still use them. I have 5 but I have 7 Merlin's.

I think that Altsmoke has the Serpents for 19.99.

OK, then, the Merlin is back on my "want list!" Thanks! :D

Vapor beast has the black Serpent for 14.97! No stainless ones though.

Yes i'm aware of that, sorry to hear. In Europe we have a new TPD2 (some new b*llsh*t tobacco laws), which basically also kills vaping, at least DIY vaping. We're also stockpiling overhere. I now have at least 15 years of nic, a dozen STMs and TTMs with lots of spare parts, a few Serpents (must order more), more tanks, mods etc etc. So if the merlin is as great as everyone says, i'll get a few of those too.

Be sure to get extra glass for all your other tanks. It's too bad we can't replace the Serpent's glass. :(

I know this is off topic, but i posted about it in the smok thread below this topic. But i guess it can apply here. How should someone deal with a burr ona 510 pin on a RTA ? like that comes from tigheting/loosening wiht ascrewdriver? like how they seem to get chewed up? Mine CAME like that from the factorey on my smok RDTA and it's grinding up my slotted 510 pin on my IPV5.

Should some fine grit sandpaper do the trick? or is it bad to sand down a 510 pin on a rta cause of connection issues?

We (hubby and I) probably have enough stuff to get us through the next 13 to 15 years OK, but I figure the more the better, you know? We're well stocked on nic, too, and flavors, and we actually should have plenty of mods (including a few mechs), but tanks... I don't think you can have too many tanks, right? ;)
