Well I tried the inverting method and burping the juice flow after filling today. By gosh it worked! No seepage from the airflow at all. Thank thank thank you! Now I don't have anything negative to say about this thing. Can't wait for my other one to get here from GB. Looks like I'll be retiring the STM's from rotation and possibly ordering a couple more of these serpents[emoji3]

Your very welcome, Major!!

I've been a STM fan for a long time but the Serpent has replaced it as far as the STM rebuild deck is concerned.

I see you on the VTC Mini page as well. With all the dual coil TCR bs going on, makes me like the single coil Serpent even more!! lol

The Serpent and the VTC Mini make a really nice couple!! lol

I agree. I've never really cared for dual coils. I was a strict kayfun guy till the STM's came out then I got soley into them with the RBA deck. I got into TC with my first dna 40 and enjoyed the nickel builds that's the only thing I've ever had consistency with. Tried Ti but wasn't impressed. Recently started sampling some SS but not having consistency with that either. I'm pretty much back to kanthal now. The serpent gives me all the things I loved about the kayfun but with the improved features of the STM's. As far as I'm concerned it's checking all the boxes for me right now. I might try a TC build in the next one just to see how it performs. I'm not a high wattage vaper build around 1 .2 and 20-25w and I'm a happy camper. The evic vct mini is a great little mod that's found its place among my vaporflasks.

How would you guys rate the vapor production and airflow of the Serpent, compared to a modern dual coil tank, such as the Crius or Bellus?

Im interested in the Serpent, but only if it could provide a comparable vaping experience to the dual coil tanks in my rotation.

I know that it's single coil vs dual,..... but, the airflow looks huge on the Serpent, and Im curious if it could be built to vape similar to a dual.

A Cthulhu V2 might be more to your liking.

The only dual coil RTA that I can recommend without any reservation is the morph tank with the V2 RBA. With the new velocity style deck and it's already phenomenal airflow it's my second favorite in my lineup. Sorry if I got off topic. Don't want to take anything away from the serpent it's number 1 in my book

Hey jefx....was wondering when you would find this tank/thread!! lol

As you know, I have quite a bit of experience with both the Bellus and Crius (and pretty much any RTA). lol

I've loved the Bellus from the beginning and it's still a solid performer. The Crius, on the other hand, has a lot of issues which you are quite aware of.I want to love the Crius but can't.

Airflow on the Serpent is more than the Bellus and just a tad less than the Crius, just a tad. Vapor production and flavor is excellent. Build quality is very good and it's very easy to build. Install the coil like Mike Vapes does and the diagonal post holes are no problem. When you fill it remember to "burp" (thanx for the technical term Major!!) it and you shouldn't have any leak issues.

The Serpent is no Mutation Tank (which I consider the most intense tank out there) but for a single coil rta it is fantastic!! I"m so confident in the Serpent that if you buy one and don't like it I'll buy it from you! So there you go. lol

Did forget to mention one con I have with the Serpent.

The main portion of the tank (glass, chimney etc..) doesn't come apart. Not that big of a deal for cleaning but if you break the glass the tank is done. Don't know if Wotofo will be selling this part separately or not but if they do it would prob be pricey.

This is true and since there does not appear to be anyway to break it down that far I'm guessing glass replacement isn't an option. However with its stainless steel cage and minimal glass exposure it seems pretty rugged. I got in the habit of using vape bands on all my tanks with the STM's just in case of the accidental knock over.

OK! Got mine in this morning. Washed and made ready for coil. Did a 5 wrap clapton 26/32. 3.2mm ID came out to 0.63 ohms. Airflow down to half open. JFC about 3-4 turns open (half??) can't tell. Mounting the coil took some time to figure out, even with reading the thread (thanks for the pointers). Finally got my mind wrapped around it. Fairly short wick, laid on deck with just a little in the channels (similar to Todd's review, just a little more in the channels). Wicking great, no leaks on fill or sitting 70/30 vg/pg. I used a thick piece of Japanese organic. Nice and snug in the coil. Started at 25 watts, now up to 38 watts, it is chucking some vapor and flavor! Warm and tasty. Not hot. Good little single coil unit. I think the airflow is massive. Doing direct to lung on half open! Nice! Build quality is quite good.

Ugh... talk like this is going to make me pick one of these up to try out!

So far I'm diggin' this one! It's gonna be a keeper. And I have most of them. This has all the check list covered. AFC, JFC, easy build, clean design, good juice capacity, very good flavor, easy fill, great airflowl....pretty complete package. Some people have mentioned the con of not being able to remove the glass or replace it. I have never broken a tank glass yet (knock on wood). But also, this tank is really protected by large SS walls around it. Sure it can be broken, but the chances of that are fairly slim IMO. Damn! Just took a lung full...excellent!

I don't like to swim against the tide and stand alone, but picked mine up today and I'm not too keen on it. To me it vapes just like a dual coil, which is too harsh for my throat. And the flavour and Vape doesn't compete with my gem and erl clones. It's not a bad tank, just not for me. The telescopic chimney, reverse threaded centre pin and little t wrench are stand out. Not a negative, just not compatable with me for where I am at the moment.

I'll be happy to take that off your hands at a fair price if it's not up to your liking. [emoji3]

I understand Moonface. We all have out likes and dislikes about our vapes. This is more of a direct lung unit. And you are right...it produces vapor like a dual coil. That is a fact. I don't find it harsh, but again, we each have our own expectations. I still love my Aqua v2 and Thilemahos, but I am really enjoying this as well.

I have several dual coil tanks, but the Serpent looks like I could build a single large titanium clapton and still get the performance of my duallys but with less building and wicking time.

Thanks for the confirmation Freedog and Major.

I also refuse to buy any more 3 post decks. 2 post, or Velocity styles are the only attys that will get anymore of my money.

Im gonna toss one of these in my cart!

Yep this for me too, sounds like just what I've been looking for. Mine is out for delivery today.
