Should ALL reviews be compared to the Provari?

I am an Englishman who would recommend a Russian designed German engineered mod as "the best" . I would suggest that indicates a less blindly nationalistic view than an American who recommends a mod because it is Made in the USA.

In short I disregard the country of origin and concentrate on the product.

No englishman made mods out there yet eh

I don't think the Provari should be compared to every mod. Why would it? This question is subjective in the same way that e-juices are. What I love and think is the best might not be what the next person thinks is the best. I have a Provari and happen to love it. Right now it is the best for me. Does that mean it's the best for everybody? Absolutely not. Who knows in the future it may not be the best for me? We are always changing so who knows what may be the best for me 6 months from now.

That is a beautiful mech. I'd appreciate a link (or even a link to anything close to that). I don't understand the Provari love or hate. I own one, it is reliable and well built, but so are a lot of other mods.

I've tried my cousin's and I found the Provari to be large, overly bulky, and the balance felt strange. Plus the fact that it's got that ugly thing going on, and I didn't consider it so ugly it's cute. It's just ugly.

After some fiddling and a lot of clicking, we managed to get it to produce the same vape as my $30 Volt X2, but I still had to push the manual button instead of the device detecting that I wanted a vape automatically.

So I'll say no for that reason. My goals in my vaping life just aren't Provari-compatible, and most of the vapers I know or I've converted are the same. We're looking for ease of use, consistent vape, and no hassle when we're otherwise occupied.

We're not mod people. Comparing non-mods to mods would be a terrible idea.

Mod people will have to chime in on what they think about comparisons there, but my little Volt X2 has entirely different functionality and goals in life than the Provari does.

I realize not everyone thinks Provari is THE best but, whatever is THE best. It's late. I'm sure my wording isn't the clearest. Hopefully the message is kaelrr? <--huh???

Its the best in its class is the way I would put it........I will always have a Provari in my vaping arsenal..
I do prefer my mechanical mod that's been kicked though.......

Does the UK make anything close the Provari or German made Mod? Lets face it you wouldn't recommend any USA product.

I think the Leatherman is a very well made tool, I couldn't give a flying fig that it is US made, the fact it is a fine product is what I care about.

Have you actually got a Provari yet?

I promised myself I wouldn't post again in this thread, obviously I lied.

You can compare any two objects, but to be fair, you have to use quantities that are measurable in order to stay objective.

Voltage, current, power, weight, capacity.

Using terms like "Feels good", "tastes better", "Uglier than" are all opinions, not measurable quantities.

Must be heavenly to be able to just throw money around.

Neat thing about a free country. One gets to spend their own money however they want.... (at least that's how it used to be, but that's another conversation for another forum).

I've owned 80 or so different mods. I've used another 30-40. A few were sent to me for review, but most I bought or traded for.

Let's put this in perspective. The current price for the basic provari 2.5 is $159.95. 159.95/12 = 13.33. A provari is worth thirteen dollars and thirty three cents per month for a year. For the sake of this statement: Since it comes with a 1 year warranty, I won't make any assumptions beyond that year.

The best data I've been able to extrapolate from polls and random threads on ECF and the other vape forums seems to indicate the average cost of supplies (juice and attys or cartos) is pretty close to fifty bucks a month (input from DIY-ers might throw that average a little low, but since the juice I use personally is on the expensive side and the attys I like are not the cheapest, - and my supplies aren't too much more than 50 bucks a month, I think it's pretty close).

The US national average for a pack of name brand smokes is now $6.00. A PAD smoker can buy a provari every other month plus their supplies and still come out way ahead.

Then I've actually never read a review that was valid. There are devices that don't fit my (extremely small for a man) hand. They feel terrible.

I never want to hear another Provari user discuss taste, either, as that's obviously invalid. Quite apart from the fact that the math will show the wire simply can't respond that quickly. The latency time is far too high for the oscillation to make any real difference.

And ugly is an aesthetic quantity. The Provari is simply fugly. It doesn't need to feel bad, to me the VAMO is fugly for other reasons (but I still have one). My everyday, running-around Volt X2 is aesthetically fairly neutral to my tastes, except for the blue LED which is, to me, full on fugly.

I could go into proportions, familiarity of design, color choices, color meanings, Form Follows Function rules, and so on. I don't. I just rate it on the beautiful to pretty to attractive to neutral to unattractive to ugly to fugly scale.

Not yet but I have a Colt 45 and a Smith & Wesson .357 magnum in nickel plating.
