i would stock up just a little bit if i could.. if even to save it as a once in a while thing if everything gets out right banned. same as my guns... not too awfully worried about either scenario though
I'm afraid you are being naive, at best. Since the FDA has already tried to ban vaping and has effectively lied about whether vaping is harmful based on their own tests, having them regulate/restrict vaping supplies is like asking the fox to guard the hen house. Please do some research on what has happened since 2009. If they had been successful back then, you never would have even had a chance to vape.
I joined CASAA, I would have done it earlier but I hate hate hate joining stuff. I find it utterly ridiculous that I have to join groups and write letters and make phone calls in an attempt to convince the government to leave me alone. I am not hurting anyone and I am more comfortable taking my chances with the free market than trusting anything the FDA/government puts out (these are the same people who let cigarettes be sold along with our gmo crops and have approved more chemicals that we can ever hope to count being sprayed and on our fruits and vegetables.....meat products that dont actually have anything a normal person would consider meat in and those that do actually have yet more hormones and chemicals to deal with. We should have the option to just opt out ....let the FDA run some sort of voluntary seal that those who wish to have it can go on ahead and jump through hoops and those that feel more comfortable with the government can go ahead and buy the overpriced junk the government lets puts out I am stocking this month so I have pre government juice for myself and next month as the FDA releases its love letter I will take my entire cigarette budget from when I was smoking analogs and sending it to CASAA since I will be coasting on my stockpiled nicotine. We need to hope for the best but prepare for the worst.
Naive? Maybe.... Maybe not.
I said I would welcome regulatory purity controls. Why? Because already at least one reputable mainstream vendor has been found to distribute nic that was significantly different than the labeling. One sample of nic labeled as 100mg/l tested to be over two and half times more potent than that, while other samples were considerably weaker than labeled. Why this happened is irrelevant, it NEVER should have made it out of the door. Proper QC should have caught it in-house. This was a respected and reputable vendor (who has since cleaned up his act and now publishes testing data to document purity) but it just goes to show that without some regulatory controls we could actually get poisoned! Many vendors have these controls already in place, but nothing "requires" them to. The local Mom & Pop shop could mix up some juice on the kitchen counter without any oversight whatsoever. If they are careless we could get more than we bargained for. The vaping community does do a fair job at policing itself, hence the above vendor was called on his mistake, but nonetheless I would love to see enforceable standards in place similar to food safety standards.
Now, all of that being said, I do not trust the FDA to simply impose manufacturing quality standards and leave it at that. I have no doubt that they are capable of over reacting and regulating far more than just purity, which I would not welcome. Who knows where they will go, but I dont trust them. That is why I built up a sizable stash of my own.
Anyway, I dont feel that wanting to be safe is naive........
Agreed. I can't count the petitions I've signed, and the comments made on proposed changes/rules. They are bought/owned by the big corps and their lobby groups. I'm slowly switching everything to organic because I don't want what they say is "acceptable" (allowing aspartame in MILK but not labeling it is one of the latest). I won't vent here about all the adulterated food in our supply. They need to be taken out behind the woodshed and whooped.
I joined CASAA yesterday. I can't use patches. I can't use gum. I'm so medication sensitive that I can't and won't take the pharma they offer to help you quit. I've tried cold turkey for 30 years off and on. I just can't. I don't smoke much, but can't walk away. I'm hoping that when I can get all my supplies in, I can put the pack in the trash and then wean down nic to very low or zero. It is an alternate cessation method for me and others.
If they regulate nicotine availabilty and make the % very low, why wouldn't that also apply to analogs? double standard.
I haven't even started vaping (waiting on juice), but now I'm very concerned they are going to slap my hand before I even get a chance to see if it helps me quit cigs.![]()
Somehow I doubt those who profess to "help" me in spite of my own wishes.
Bump UP ^^^.... Join CASAA ! Protect your right to Vape !!!
I , for one do not want the FDA regulating eliquid or anything related to Vaping.
Why ???
Because the FDA has such a bad record of regulating anything it touches.
Because the FDA regulating anything does not guarantee the safety of any product
Because more regulations do not help the economy, jobs or innovation in the US.
Because I am tired and poor supporting all of this Overbearing, Bloated and Elitist Government.
I can not afford to support more Government regulators and nobility.
Be gone- and let ME choose what, where, when and how to Vape.
Without trying to find the post, what help are you looking for? Maybe I can help, at least I'll try.
even if they ban it, china will still be producing all the mods and juices
they can stop local b&m's, but they can't shut china down.

Wanting to be safe is not naive. Trusting the FDA to provide that safety IS naive. I have no issue with people wanting the products they consume to be safe. And to date, vaping supplies have been as safe if not safer than our food supplies like chicken and ground beef. Knowing what the FDA's real agenda is when it comes to vaping, I cannot see how any of us would want them to be the ones providing this so-called safety. There are other alternatives that would be better than the FDA.
